It's been a rather rough couple of days. Of course it has, given the fact that Fav made the announcement that he'd be cutting the number down to four, and the fact that killing someone would actually make people get candy a lot faster than normal. But nobody is irrational enough to take Fav up on his rather generous offer, right? After all, it's murder!

Nevertheless, the town seems rather quiet as always and it doesn't seem that anything horrible is going to happen at all in the slightest bit. It's just your normal, ordinary Friday, so feel free to go about it as you wish, whether you sleep in or otherwise.

[ Miach waves the bone in Szayel's general direction to display it. ]

Murder by blunt force trauma, I would assume. This bone probably stems from one of the skeletons and it had tried blood on it when we found it - matches her head injury from all I can tell on first sight.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

They used a bone as a club? Well that's rather barbaric.

[Like, of all the potential murder weapons out there...]

Is that it so far? We should thoroughly examine her if Fav truly intends for us to go through this ridiculous trial.

Well, I just arrived here, too. There wasn't a lot of time.

[ She waves her hands (and subsequently the bone) dismissively. ]

The stage is yours if you want it.

[Don't encourage him by saying like it's some sort of performance, Miach...

Miach is one of the people that isn't decisively on Szayel's shit list though, so as he leans over to get a look at Dia's body...]

How much do you know about bodies?

[...that sounds so weird worded like that. But the question comes based on their previous conversations.]

My knowledge of forensics comes entirely from crime novels, but I've looked into human anatomy quite extensively.

I'm more versed in pharmacology though.

[ She likes to think about how misused medicine can fuck people up. ]

Is her body stiff already? The blood on the bone was dry, but...

[ Have fun with the body. There is a head wound as specified earlier, as well as the white bedsheet sash that looks strange on her untransformed state.

There's also dirt on her hands but not on the magical phone that she's holding, which seems to be on. ]

I am sure that your knowledge is better than many here, so that should do. Two people with anatomical knowledge is better than one, especially if we are going to be debating this later.

[...it's his way of inviting her to investigate with him if she wants, apparently.

With that said, he'll start with Miach's suggestion of checking the state of Dia's body to see if they can roughly estimate how long she's been dead.]

[ He'll be able to tell that she's been dead for at least ten hours or so. ]

[ It's a very noncommital noise, but since Miach isn't leaving, it probably means she's agreed to be an pathologist assistant.

She's going to give the body a look of her own.

Is the wound at the back of the head? And also... what kind of dirt is on her hands? And what does her magical phone show at the moment? ]

[ The magical phone seems to show a single text, left unsent: Eddna.

As for the injuries it seems to be right on the back of her head and the dirt seems to be more or less the dust you'd find in the apartments. ]

[ LISTEN, this is so by the book that it's almost boring.

But okay, let's inform Szayel of this non-forensic fact: ]

We have a dying message - lo and behold, it's a badly spelled name of one of us. Edna.

[ Does this phone have any dusty fingerprints on it at all? And is Dia's hand even closed around it in a natural looking way? ]

[ No dusty fingerprints at all and it seems that her hand was definitely forced closed to hold the phone. ]

.... or not a dying message at all. Someone's tried to be sneaky - and been very bad at it.

[Following his previous statement...]

Deflecting onto Edna? I had my suspicions when you said her name was misspelled. Dia did not strike me as the sort to bungle up something that simple.

[Though he didn't know her long, her typing seemed competent enough.]

Maybe it was an attempt to make it look like Dia couldn't do it right since she was fading from the world of the conscious.... but given how obviously staged this phone's position is, that did not get our culprit very far.

[ Can Miach see who this text would have been sent to, though? The whole network or an individual? ]

[ It seems that it would have been sent to the whole network. ]

[Szayel looks up so he can squint in Miach's direction.]

Badly spelled? Her name is one of the simplest here. I'm fairly impressed that anyone could misspell it.

Either way, she's quite stiff. She has been dead for quite some time. Well through the night, most likely.

[But before he moves on, is there anything else that can be gathered about the head wound, such as the severity of it?]

[ The head wound in particular seems to be fatal. Want to look at other possible injuries, my good man? ]

[He'll go ahead and make a note that this could be what sealed the deal before moving on, yes!

As he starts inspecting further down Dia's body, is there anything immediately obvious? Any limbs twisted oddly, or obvious bruising?]

[ There's bruising in the rib area and some scrapes on her knees but that's all. ]

[Alright, so there was potentially a struggle is what Szayel is gathering from that.

Next up is that sash. He doesn't recall seeing Dia wear anything like that with her normal clothing, so he's going to look at that now. Is it tied like an accessory, or is there something on it...?]

[ It's definitely tied up on her ribcage area to resemble her magical girl outfit. ]

[That's really odd.

Just out of curiosity, he's going to untie it to see if there's anything being covered up with it. In case it's not simply a stylistic choice on the part of whomever did this.

Otherwise, other than what's been discovered, is there anything else of note with Dia's body that Szayel and Miach should take into consideration?]

[ When he unties it, he won't see anything immediately... until he turns it around. On the other side, which was being covered, there is definitely a splatter of blood that seems to indicate that someone short was using this. There's also dust on it as well.
