AFTERPARTY 1; LATE SUNDAY
[It never rains. It pours.
Tamamo has no qualms about death. She has no stake in this murder, nor any real attachment to the dead. But she voted wrongly. It was not a close vote, yes, but she was wrong all the same. If it had not been for the overwhelming suspicion of everyone else...
Well.
Just a minute or so after leaving the trial and that execution by hellfire, Tamamo leaves a voice message:]
I am inviting everyone to my room in the Sakura Inn. I was planning to make a feast for just myself, but...
[Yeah.
Tamamo has spent the last two weeks wisely, collecting every fresh piece of meat she can find in the fridges (in any) and asking room service for their spare ingredients. Though the apartments seem... strange to be in right now, she only knows one good kitchen here, so it'll have to do.
When everyone does arrive, the tables are laid out like a true feast. Where did she even get the tables from...? However, Tamamo herself isn't in a happy mood. The food, though made of not the best ingredients, is pretty good. Some dishes are a little over cooked, though. A sign of her frustration?]
Please, help yourself. Cooking is stress relief for me.

You'll have to go talk to her yourself. She probably won't go find you.]

[It's really not a bad idea either. It helps them regroup and collect themselves. Either way, Joshua honestly appears quite unfazed.]

Thank you for this, Tamamo-san. It's very kind of you... Especially after what we've all just been through.

[Okay, he can try a little better than that.]
...thanks. I'm sure after that, some people could use something like this.
[He's still not sure if he's one of those or not, but he's not enough of a blockhead that he can't recognize the amount of trying she put into all this.]

Why the long face?

Wow...this looks really good! [She'll get some water and a small plate of food, and find a corner to sit in and eat. Although she'll wave over anyone she sees who looks unsure about where to sit.]

Hey, Eliza. How're you doing over here? Want some company?

[Recette is... not happy that's for sure. She's tired and wants to go to sleep after all that... but she doesn't want to be alone. So she's dragged herself here and is enjoying the food- gotta give her compliments later- but it's hard to be upbeat after that. Give her a day and she'll be upbeat again, but that is not now. If anyone approaches her she'll put on a weak smile and wave.]

He'll be sitting at a table reading a book, one titled The 100 Day War. For the most part, he is keeping to himself but feel free to bug him and his... nonchalance.]

Books are pretty rare around here - did you get that from the gacha?

Of course, I'm also willing to just talk, too, if you'd prefer that.
[ She's smiling, but it's clear that smile isn't for her. ]

Zange. Let's talk for a bit, okay?
[He'll keep his voice low, because Taiki doubts that what he says next is something she'll want everyone to hear.]
It's probably obvious after what we just went through, but... You're not doing so good, are you?

She's not eating-- not because she doesn't want to (although she still forgets from time to time, since that was never something she had to do to live before). It looks like she's lost in her own thoughts.
When this began, she wanted nothing more than to just extract herself from it.
Now... she... wanted to avoid any more unnecessary bloodshed. She knew it could happen again. But... there were people she wanted to protect now.
When it seems she's finally done with whatever deep thoughts she immersed herself in, she says something-- mostly to herself, but--]
...sorry, brother. You'll have to wait a little while longer.
[Throughout, she tries to be a companion to those who look upset. She's not good at it, but she's trying to support the others. After all... she's putting off something important in order to try and help save as many of these people as she can.]

What if it's this asshole?]
That was certainly something, wouldn't you agree?
[What a great question to be stopped in the halls for, right? Szayel's not completely here to be smug about the whole thing though. He's curious to know what Renji's been up to.]

So he's here, he's got a plate of food, and it definitely looks good, but he's not really eating either. Just sort of wandering around with it, trying to figure out where his head's at.]
no subject
Um... Aren't you going to eat your food at all? I know what we just saw was upsetting, but... You should try to keep your strength up, too.
[Not that she's the best about, you know, eating regularly. But it reminds her of making sure her classmates were fed, and she's a little bit worried about him.]

Either way, Eruna is, in fact, at the after party and is going to absolutely munch down on the offered food... but unless someone approaches her, she appears to have become immersed in her PSP. The chirpy dating sim music is turned up pretty loud, but don't worry, she won't mind turning it off or even show you what she's playing if asked.]
no subject
Even if she's glad Eruna's safe, it's not something she's happy about.]

But even if she never liked Beyond Birthday, watching his gruesome execution is making her realize that the consequences for a misstep here are potentially even graver than she thought. Or wanted to admit to herself. There are a dizzying number of factors that are beyond her control, and in the end... the threat of dying hadn't seemed real. In a sense, this is a good wake up call, but it's coming with a heavy price tag: fear. It's not a feeling she's used to and it's easier to displace it with anger.
There's a plate of food set in front of her that she has barely touched. It'd be easy to mistake her quiet, subdued expression for solemnity or sadness, but really she's watching people. Now it feels like she has to do it more closely than before.]
