It's only been two weeks and you've already lost two of your comrades: Dia Kurosawa and Beyond Birthday. But you have to move forward, otherwise there's no possible way that you'll even get the slightest chance to go back home, or even stop this horrific game. Nevertheless, the same voice from Fav chimes in at 9 AM in the morning, just as always.

[Zack is happy as a clam right now. When you run into him this morning, you'll notice he's carrying a rather omnious looking weapon over his shoulder.]

[That's right, bitches! Zack has his fucking scythe back! It only took him, what, three weeks? And boy does he wanna use it on something. However, he still hates Fav and all he stands for, so that night he dragged the training dummy out to the hotel's roof, drew a crude rendition of M's face on its head, and proceeded to slash the living daylight out of it. You might wanna give him some space right now. It could get messy.]

[Zack continues to stare at the bobbing thing.]

Well, they can't speak like humans, unless they're Psychic-types who can just talk directly to your brain, but most Pokemon can communicate through sounds of some sort. And some people can understand their intention.

[Dragon stares at Zack some more, bobbing up and down, before suddenly disappearing underground. Eliza starts.]

Dragon, you shouldn't startle h- [And then he pops out right under Zack's feet with a playful glint in his eyes.]

[He leans forward, staring at the screen. If Recette is sitting next to him, she may notice he has a black scythe laying on his lap.]

Hey, that does look like that blobby shit! Is this trailer about the last game or something?!

Yeah, that might be a better idea. [She looks around, before pointing to the closest two-player cabinet.] How about...that one?

[He doesn't appreciate the humor.]

[Zack returns the frown with a scowl.]

I'm serious! I couldn't find any medical supplies at all. Fucking weird if you ask me.

[Zack yelps, stumbling forward a bit as the brown lump pushes him from below. As he clumsily regains his footing, the blunt side of the weapon he was holding swings dangerously close to Eliza's face.]

[Now do you notice the big honking scythe he was carrying around today?]

[ Of course, Zange's saying this in a tone that isn't as chipper as she makes it seem. ]

[Eliza yelps and skips back, before focusing her gaze on the scythe.] Whoa! You got a weapon too?

[Dragon ducks back underground, hurrying back to Eliza's side and looking pleased with himself.] Sorry! He likes to surprise people! But that means he likes you, since if he didn't like you he'd try to hurt you while doing it.

The only problem is that this world doesn't work like mine does. At least, in terms of exorcism.

[He looks up at the crossy road knockoff nearby. There seem to be only one button involved, so it seems easy enough.]

... Sure, why not?

Yeah, it seems much simpler! [She skips across to it, starting it up.] Yeah, so apparently you just push the button to move forwards. That's much simpler!

[Zack doesn't pick up on her hidden sadness at first. He is just so happy.]

Hell yeah! Finally got my fucking scythe back!

This is something we should investigate... right? I mean... I don't think he has a game, but maybe there is a full movie or something around here?

[She's not sure how 90% of the movie stuff works-like making it appear in the first place- but maybe there's a machine or something doing it like the arcade games???]

Mmm-hmm! We've got an super suspicious arcade, an abandoned middle school, a nice park, and a theater now! I'm not sure what some of those places are, but there's probably a bunch of clues everywhere just waiting to be found! Investigation, ho!

[She's getting really motivated now, it's super tempting to just drag Eliza off to investigate some of those places right here right now.]

[ Miach chuckles. There are no sand disasters she knows of, but she certainly agrees that it's dumb to do either way. ]

The more you give up control of the things around you, the more risk they have to be turned against you. But I guess that doesn't matter to you if you don't trust yourself to be able to handle situations. Or your kids for that matter.
