It's been a ride. One where they all messed up and two innocent people died in the end. Of course, nobody knows who the killer is, with the exception of Fav and his master. Nevertheless, things seem to feel a lot more solemn and melancholy this week, and Fav's announcement does not help, either.

"Come downstairs. I have something to show you all, pon."

Monday afternoon

[ After Miach is done acting sentimental about the events of yesterday, she's off to giving cursory glances around the most interesting new areas. The hospital is a location that gives her mixed feelings, but it's also inarguably the most relevant new building around. At least it's all old medical equipment - the kind that even Miach may make use of if needed. Sparking her own curiosity with that thought, she quickly heads for the place she's most interested in - the med room - and... spots a familiar redhead there. ]

This gives me a sense of deja-vu, I must say.

[hawthorned]

[Cue the same routine where Dahlia stops what she was doing (looking in the cabinets) and turns to look at, by now, an overly familiar face. She ought to look abashed about this situation, but somehow she's not.]

I suppose... if I asked why you were here, you'd simply respond the same way you did last time, Miss Miach?

You might add a certain fascination with - from my time - outdated medicine into the mix as well, but yes.

[ Miach gives Dahlia a smile here. If it hadn't been clear before, now it's certainly apparent that Miach's first impression of the woman had been entirely wrong. That's not something that happens to Miach often and she is more fascinated than irritated. ]

What about you?

I'm looking for something to help me with this awful headache I'm having.

[Lies, but who's counting right? In after thought... and surprisingly not actually meant sarcastically:]

Do headaches exist in your world, Miss Miach?

[ Miach gives a short disbelieving look, but doesn't say anything to this response. She might have given it the benefit of doubt had they not had their run-in at the middle school... but ah, like this? ]

They don't - or at least, the majority of younger people have never experienced them. We're too healthy for even such simple ailments.

[ Though Miach has been eating unhealthily for the past few weeks and she can practically feel her skin condition leaving its previous flawless state - all's well with that though. All the consequences of her actions are now free to come to her. ]

[She laughs at that, and turns her attention back to the medicine in the cabinet.]

It's so strange, listening to you talk. I'm growing to be rather fond of it. Was there something in particular you were looking for?

[ This time the pleasantry doesn't bother Miach. She knows Dahlia will be unpleasant to her all she likes normally, so either she needs something or she means it this time and either is fine.

Time to come over to this closet herself and glance over the names of the drugs. A lot mean something to her, but certainly not all. ]

I only came to get an overview. Medicine in my time is handled mostly on molecular level, so there's a lot here that I've only read about because I'd have had to specifically order or create it in my time. You had to be careful with that.

[ Miach did a lot of shady stuff when she was still at home, but flying under the radar of any morality center saves her a lot of a bother. ]

Painkillers seem to be over here. But while you're here, you may as well check out the rest, right? Who knows what other aches someone might get.

[Dahlia doesn't miss a beat, though she catches the implication right away.]

Oh, I'm not a nurse. I wouldn't know what to give anyone else for their pains.... though I don't think there's any harm in keeping an eye on your surroundings. I'm sure you'd agree with that.

[Dahlia removes the bottle indicated by Miach and examines it more closely.]

Naturally. We've seen this morning what being careless amounts to.

With tasks abolished, there is also nothing more than that for us to do.

[ Let's see..... Miach's finger travels over the other packages as she looks through names and seemingly arbitrarily pulls some things out to check the closer information. ]

That and speculate on the latest trial - I suspect we won't be having a good time in that regard.
