It's been a ride. One where they all messed up and two innocent people died in the end. Of course, nobody knows who the killer is, with the exception of Fav and his master. Nevertheless, things seem to feel a lot more solemn and melancholy this week, and Fav's announcement does not help, either.

[The folder gives a brief explanation about digital roots and escape rooms. The latter telling that you need to find clues in order to escape, but he's already figured that out.

Where to now?]

[O...kay. The concept of digital roots is simple enough to understand. While he's not pleased about being locked in here, at least he gets to exercise his critical thinking on more things.

With that finished, he moves to examine the suitcase next, since it's sitting right there and all.]

[Good luck with that because the red suitcase has a keyhole along with what seems to be a four digit combination with numbers going from 0 - 9 per digit.]

[Of course it does.

All right, so looking in the suitcase obviously isn't happening right now. That must mean he's going to have to find the key and combination elsewhere in the room.

He glances around. What else is in here?]

[There's a bunk bed; they look rather old even though they're made. There's also a closet and bathroom, too. There seems to be a circle shaped window and it seems to be cracking a little bit...? But if he tries to look out the window, he'll notice that you can't see through it--

and that looks like water coming out of it. Just a little bit.]

[The window is pretty weird. Why the hell is it leaking?

Maybe he should just...back away from that for now and inspect the bathroom. Surely nothing bad is going to happen if he turns his back on the window, right?]

[It is a mystery.

Other than the fact that it's now cracking even more and leaking even more?? Nah, everything's fine. On the mirror there seems to be a piece of paper along with a blue key.]

[All right, a key. That's progress, hopefully.

Also did he just hear a cracking noise?

Um.

Let's just...read the paper...]

[But before reading the paper, he'll probably notice that even though his reflection was formerly there it soon disappears as he sees a completely different face for a flicker of a second before it turns to normal.

But as for the paper it's a picture of triangles??? ]

[What the fuck was that. He blinks a few times, staring at the mirror and wondering if he actually just saw that.

2spooky.

Anyway, he squints at the triangle paper for a moment or two before deciding that he's definitely going to need more information. He'll pocket the paper and key and head back out toward the closet if there isn't anything else to come across in the bathroom.]

[There's actually a photo of a boat that looks old and on the back it has screws on it. Other than that, nothing else here, carry on.]

[The photo will be pocketed as well! The screws are certainly interesting... He's sure that's going to be relevant at some point.

All right, to the closet!

...how's the window doing, by the way. Since he has to go back out in the main room anyway.]

[It's completely broken. Have fun with all that water. The closet seems to have some empty hangers along with a blue suitcase. Next to the closet, however, seems to be an old stove with a pot sitting on top of it.]

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

[Where did this water even come from? Do they just store it in the walls in this stupid inn?!

Trying not to panic, he snatches the blue suitcase and throws it on the table next to the red one. Okay, colored suitcases...the triangles on that sheet of paper were also red and blue, weren't they? He still doesn't know what the triangles symbolize though, so he'll just make a mental note of the connection for now.

As he's doing that, he does take note of the stove. What's going on over here?]

[WHO THE FUCK KNOWS AT THIS POINT

Nevertheless, the stove seems to have a door and the pot on top of it has a cover, if you wish to open any of those.]

[Both are getting opened the fuck up if they are able to be opened.

He's in a hurry but clearly not a panicked hurry or anything. He Has This.]

[They are able to be opened!

The stove has a screwdriver while the pot has the other key, it looks like.]

[Excellent.

He mentally goes over what he has. Red and blue suitcases, red and blue keys. Paper with red and blue triangles. Photo with screws. Screwdriver.

Ah.

Fumbling through the stuff he's found and trying not to drop anything in the rising water, he attempts to use the screwdriver on the photo's screws. Will it fit the screws?]

[Yep! And out goes the picture.

On the back of the photo however... is this.]

[Aha! Looks to be a key to the triangles.

He discards the frame and screwdriver on the table (after having to wade over to it), and pulls out the slip of triangles to compare to the key. Two red triangles and two blue triangles...

Since he has both a red suitcase and blue suitcase, something tells him this current slip is only half of the equation. Is there something else around somewhere?

He turns away from the table and glances around. Where hasn't he looked yet?]

[...try the beds?]

[...yes. The beds. We can't forget about those beautiful stepladders.

He wades over there and starts tearing apart the beds for anything that could point him in the right direction. The water's starting to get pretty highs, so he doesn't have much time to be neat and tidy right now.]

[There's this, under the pillow.]

[Oh shit, we've upgraded to squares.

But this definitely helps. It's two more sets of colored shapes. He'll take it over to the table and start mentally decoding the damn things with the key. He starts with red since the slips of shapes list it first in the sequence.

Red: 7 4 8 5

He quickly configures it into the red suitcase lock and puts the red key in it as well.

He tries to open it. Is he successful?]

Inside are cards numbered one through five along with a notebook.]
