15 REMAIN...?

You guys thought last week was strange? This week is even worse. First of all, there's the lingering thoughts in the air, the attempt to deduce who the real killer of Eliza was after failure. It's a bright determination never to fail again. But then, there was that motive... a friend in danger, and the fact that it's difficult to tell if they're real or not.

At least waking up seems to be fine; there's no big issue... except for the fact that today is the final day before Fav decided to kill the hostages. There has to be a way to stop him-

"Someone has been murdered, pon. And because of that, your hostages will be spared, pon."

Well, then.

Yes, I took pictures of the scene when I arrived.

[She'll make a face at the morbid jigsaw puzzle suggestion here, but....]

Yes, it seems that would be a good idea. [Your move Miach!! Cuz guess who is not making any moves to pick out glass from Nanami's face, uh....

But also while we're at it, is there a specific distribution of blood on Nanami's clothes to suggest whether she was standing/sitting/lying down when she took the blow to the face?]

[ .... alright. So now she doesn't have a choice anymore. Miach likes to pretend to be above it all, but even she has human reflexes and this is really really gross. Okay, kneeling down. Sitting next to the corpse.... Miach takes another deep breath, willing all her stomach's content to stay right where it is at all costs....

... and then she's ready.

Miach will pick out all the shards out of the bloody mess that is Nanami's face. Is that possible for her? She'll certainly take her time with doing it carefully and soon some kind of desensitization sets in that makes her forget that what she is touching used to be a human face. Now she just... needs to not remind herself again, yes. Work trance. It'll be fine. ]

[Yeah, that's fine. Have fun taking all of that out.]

[ Well this feels like it took an eternity. Miach takes a few deep breaths and takes a look at that pile she just got. Time to try and start assembling them into their original shape. If she's already sitting in blood, with blood over her legs and hands, may as well touch some bloody glass shards some more, huh. And then wince when she inevitably gets some smaller cuts herself, oops. ]

[It's not going to be complete, but it's going to start making a circular shape. There are some pieces missing.]

[ Cool. That's pretty good already. ]

Dahlia. Take a picture of this. I don't want to smear blood all over my phone.

[ Miach gets up to her feet here, staring down at her gore-y hands and.... yeah, wow, all of that just happened. ]

And I'll go clean myself off.

[ .... and off she goes. Actually, she'll throw up a few steps outside of the dollhouse first, but then clean-up will commence.

This all seemed a lot cooler in theory than it turned out to be in practice. ]

[She's still kinda side eyeing Miach for this because jfc that's disgusting, but she'll take that picture without further comment. Since those shards match the ones from Seraphina's hand, it's safe to assume this used to be a mirror, right?]

[Since Len is taking over

There'a bit of an addendum to the rips: they're only on the back side of the torso area, and most of the blood seems to be distributed in that area; on the from side there's definitely less blood and there doesn't seem to be any specific area to suggest what she was doing when she took the blow to the face.]

[Huh. So if most of the blood is coming from the back-torso-ish area, can we check under her clothes to see what damage has been done?]

[Yep. There are tears in that area, but... no injuries under those tears. Huh.]

[...Curious.

How are the bottoms of Nanami's shoes looking? Are they covered in blood etc? And is there any way of telling roughly how long it appears she's been dead for?]

[The shoes are fine. And it looks like she's been dead for at least several hours.]

[Alrighty then. Is Nanami's phone anywhere near by?]

[It's in her pocket, shut off.]

[Ok so she's going to try and grab with her shawl so she doesn't get additional fingerprints on it if possible. Anything about the phone worthy of note - fingerprints etc?

Also anything worthy of note in terms of private messages and such when you turn it on? Any way to verify Seraphina's story about her calling Nanami to the dollhouse?]

[No fingerprints.

But yes, there is one private message dated on Thursday from Seraphina calling Nanami to the dollhouse.]

[Right, well then Dahlia will pocket Nanami's phone so she can turn that in for evidence at the trial, and will head on out of the dollhouse. There's still the question of what caused the damage to the dolls, so there might be more evidence elsewhere.]

[Zack kind of wandered off from the crime scene. He isn't paying attention, so he might end up bumping into him.]

[Have some bumping into!]

Zack, were you able to find anything?

[She'll just withhold what Seraphina said about Zack's alleged involvement for the time being.]

[Good idea?]

Other than Sera's alive somehow? No. Why?

I- I think we're missing something... a weapon of some kind. The dolls in the house were slashed, but the mirror shards Miach and I found weren't what caused them.

[A beat.]

I've looked in the police station, the karaoke lounge and the restaurant, but I didn't see anything there. Perhaps we should be looking somewhere else...?

Mirror...?

[Did he see something shiny in the river earlier...?]

Maybe in the river? We did find the last body thrown in there...

[He still seems a bit bitter... Be careful.]

[After looking over the crime scene himself, Taiki will also have wandered away from the dollhouse. He hadn't known Nanami well, but he had known her to be kind, and to see her body so brutally ruined like that... It had been unbearable.

He doesn't expect to run into Dahlia and Zack, though.] Ah, you two... If you're planning to investigate some more, I can come with you.

[She turns to Taiki and nods.]

Zack wanted to check by the river to see if there's anything there. The murderer took something with them out of the crime scene it seems... and the river would be a convenient place to dispose of it. Having more people around to look will speed that up.

[...And make it so that Dahlia can keep an eye on Zack if need be while searching.]
