Rise and shine, sleepyheads, because today's going to be a doozy. The suspects are revealed and not only that, Fav has unlocked their rooms for today. "We'll start off strong with the room investigations, pon. After that, we'll start off the trial, pon!"

Of course, once they're at the trial, a certain song will be playing on loop. Why.

A SUMMARY

As I'm aware of them, the facts of the case so far are as follows. Yesterday, Miss Eruna found Miss Nanami and an unconscious Miss Seraphina in the dollhouse. Miss Seraphina can confirm this herself, but other than a blow to the stomach that had left a bruise, she was unharmed. She was holding a broken mirror shard in her hand. Of note, Miss Seraphina was not transformed at the time.... though I suppose, we only know if being unconscious will also revert someone to an untransfomed state.

I can confirm that Miss Nanami was found as the autopsy report described. There were mirror shards in her face that matched the ones found in Miss Seraphina's hand. Miss Miach assembled the shards at the scene and she was able to put together and incomplete mirror. Later, Zack found another broken mirror in the river and it appears that they were originally the same mirror.

As for the crime scene itself, there was a significant amount of blood that had pooled around Miss Nanami that had also spatteed the ceiling. Curiously, neither Miss Nanami nor Miss Seraphina had any blood on the bottoms of their shoes. There were several gashes on the dolls in the immediate vicinity of the crime, but the dolls further away from the scene did not appear to be damaged.

If anyone has any thoughts of amendments to offer, please step forward to share them.

Broken mirror!?

[Tamamo looks visibly shocked.]

Could it be--?! Where is it, did you put it on the evidence table?

It should be, yes. Fav might have brought it down for us.

[But while you're talking face to face, she'll reach for her own magical phone and show Tamamo two pictures. One is of the mirror shards that were aseembled together by Miach from the crime scene, and the other is the broken mirror that Zack found at the river.]

Is this familiar to you then?

Ah...

[Tamamo surveys the mirror and sighs, especially at the broken shards.] I'm afraid that indeed is my mirror. It's... completely broken...

[She'll let Tamamo have a moment of sads before getting back to business.]

As I recall, you said you noticed your mirror was missing on Thursday morning, but is there a chance that it went missing before that?

...Yes. Most likely on Wednesday night. I must've washed up and gone straight to bed from tiredness without realizing it was gone.

What were you doing on Wednesday, Miss Tamamo?

Eating.

And where were you eating?

I was at the restaraunt for the most of the week. Going later in the evening so I could order a big plate and take the time to finish it off.

[You know. Without being judged for ordering 10 chilli crabs or something.]

I saw Szayel once, but that was it.

[...WHy is she somehow not surprised to hear Szayel's name implicated in something fishy again.]

So if I'm understanding this right.... the last time you remember seeing your mirror was on Wednesday night at the restaurant.... which means, we'll need more details from each suspect about what they were doing on Wednesday evening in order to work out who could have taken your mirror.

Yes! We should see exactly who took it away. I did make something of a fuss in front of Edna about it before, so perhaps it may be known it's a very special mirror.

What about it makes t so special, Miss Tamamo?

[mikooon]

So... the most obvious first step to take from here is to figure out who could have healed the victims. If anyone has any knowledge about healing abilities, this would be the moment to share them.

[ Or why Seraphina and Zack would coordinate lies like that, but she still doesn't believe Zack is lying. ]

[She nods.] That would be a logical place to start. As skeptical as I am about the story, there does seem to be some evidence suggesting it's true. Miss Nanami's clothes were torn in places, but there weren't any injuries that I could see underneath.

[A beat.] Though it wouldn't take much effort to come up with a story like that and deliberately cut her clothes that way to plant false evidence to support it. Of course that one assumes Zack and Miss Seraphina were working together all along.

Everything Zack said about his reasoning in his testimony is consistent with what he's been telling me about himself from the first week on.

I'm not telling you not to pursue this angle, but I'm giving that information at least.

Didn't even know we had any healers here. You think it's a new thing?

[He's just guessing on this one.]

I think somebody would've said something before this week if they could've helped during the last few trials.

Evidently, the mirror has healing powers. That much, I'm sure can be confirmed if anyone chooses to play the game that Miss Tamamo is featured in at the arcade.
