But yes, it's possible some people knew she was capable of it. But how would they know that it was a power of the mirror and not the person itself? If someone has a supposedly super secret special move-- who would think it's just the mirror that does it and not the person themselves?

According to Miss Tamamo, she last saw the mirror on Wednesday evening. Between Wednesday evening and Thursday night when Miss Nanami was killed, there would have been plenty of time to answer that question.

If you believe her flimsy story about it disappearing before the murder in the first place, the aI guess someone could have gotten lucky.

But she can't prove it was missing before then, because I saw her there with it myself.
