13 REMAIN...?

It's been almost two weeks without murder. And everything seems to be fine today, in both the inn and the apartments; there's no dents in walls, no blood running up and down the stairs, nothing-- at least, on the inside. However, for those who still stick in the inn? Basically, those whose name isn't Miach, you might find something a little out of place immediately outside the inn...

[Iiiinteresting. She'll definitely have to check out everyone's profiles again in a bit because she can't work out who owns boots like this off the top of her head? But actually, since the hospital seems clear for now and there are already folks investigating this, Dahlia will go right on ahead and follow the tracks to the karaoke lounge!

Anything to see there or on the way there?]

[ Miach has spotted the general movement from the Inn towards the hospital from her windows in the apartment complexes and on the way to going to investigate that, she cannot help running into both the bloody footprints and Dahlia. ]

Splendid morning, isn't it? The karaoke booths are soundproof, so maybe....

[There are definitely footprints that lead to one of the booths in the back of the place; into one of the rooms there, actually.]

[Dahlia's going to raise an eyebrow at Miach's hyperbole here.]

We must stop running into each other on occasions like these. Evidently, our killer must've thought the same thing.

[She'll follow the footsteps towads that room! What do we find here?]

[ Miach just shrugs and follows along, more curious than concerned. She's kind of getting used to this. ]

They went for double security... because if this happened at night, nobody would be around this part of the city anyway.

[There sure is a dead body laying on the ground there. Right next to her is a bloody dagger.

Eruna Ichinomiya is dead.]

Is that....

[She'll step closer to the body, without touching it.]


....Miss Eruna?

[Dahlia will probably notice that at first glance, Eruna's hair isn't tied up like it usually is; in fact, her hair is completely down.]

[ .... well. ]

... seems so.

[ She'll take out her phone and snap a picture before looking over the body more carefully. What's the state of Eruna's injuries and where/how is her body positioned? ]

[The only injury is a single stab to the heart, and she's laying on the floor on one side of the room.

It looks like if the stab didn't kill her, the fact that she's pretty much bleeding out would.]

[ So if Miach crouches to glance at her fingers, there is no sign of struggle? ]

[Her fingers are loosely curled in the shape of a finger gun. Huh.]

[...Well that's odd but probably explainable if the dagger slashed Eruna's head and cut the hair tie. Or something to that effect. Since Miach is checking Eruna over and has taken a picture, Dahlia will go over to check the dagger.

After taking a picture first, she'll examine it a bit more closely - again without touching it in case it has some fingerprints or such on it. Anything to note immediately about the dagger?]

[It's just bloody. That's it.]

[Gross.

Dahlia will carefully pick the dagger up by the handle to see if the dagger blade matches the stab wound on Eruna's chest.]

[Hello, fellow mean girls. Szayel's come over from the east side of town, doing a cursory search of the general walkways. The tracks weren't exactly hard to miss. So what's going on in here-

Ah.]

Back to business, is it?

[Szayel that's not how you react to another of the group getting killed...but it's not exactly surprising with him.]

[ Miach will look up from her position crouching next to the body and nod in greeting. ]

This was very clean work, so there's probably not much to dissect here either, but it never hurts to be careful.

[ Because she knows you wanted an autopsy - and so did she, really. ]

Oh, is that right?

[He almost looks disappointed?! Szayel why.]

Well, I don't mind providing a different set of eyes if you're after a second opinion. [What is this phrasing.] What have you found thus far?

A clean stab through the heart with the knife still on the scene. I haven't found any other injuries yet, but I also haven't undressed her.

Oh, and she was making finger guns as she died.

[ She lets that hang in the air for a moment, to give room to all its dumbness. ]

Makes me wonder if she was close to her killer and joking with them. Then again, she was such that she'd joke with anyone, probably.

She- [wh] I'm sorry, she what?

[He's going to get hung up on that, wow. But he can obviously see it for himself so Miach doesn't need to repeat it.]

We can at least consider that her meeting with someone in this room was not a complete surprise to her.

Shall we check for other injuries?

[Despite the impending suspect announcement, he'll let Miach do the poking if she wants. He's right here, after all. It's not like she can do anything funny now.]

[She'll interupt here.]

No, it appears there was a gun on the scene.

[She'll point to the two dents on the wall opposite from Eruna here.]

[He's talking to the mean girls here, neither one of them are likely going to think that's an inappropriate way of addressing the situation. ...In fact:]

Good that you're here, Mr. Granz. It seems Miss Eruna's been stabbed in the heart, and her killer wandered off to the hospital afterwards in search of bandages and ointment.

[You get him, Dahlia.

Also, that's definitely going to make him raise an eyebrow.]

Really? Could that mean we have an injured culprit on our hands? That could potentially make this trial rather short.

Potentially. But I wouldn't be surprised if this one dragged on as usual as well. As there didn't seem to be any sign of them actively bleeding as they approached the hospital, it's also possible that they didn't need the bandages and ointment and were simply hoping to frame Zack.

[A beat.] That seems to be a fairly common thing to do around here.
