With the beloved "leader" of the meetings dead, things seem a lot more grim than usual. But that doesn't show in the trial's background music, a rather cheery song that doesn't match the trial at all whatsoever. Which isn't exactly new, considering who's running the trial, but it is definitely a dishonor to the one that's died. Nevertheless, the show must go on.

"This is the trial for Eruna Ichinomiya, also known as Lady Zapper, pon," Fav notes, the same as always. Of course, there's a little difference in the trial area today. You can hear the slight sounds of static and even see the place glitch a bit every now and again. But what's more important than that is the fact that there seems to be a tree right behind the fountain now. A really, really huge tree. That wasn't there before. Someone must have redecorated.

Not that it changes much.

Back home, it's definitely more often. However, without the supplies until a couple of weeks ago, I didn't think about it until recently when I realized what I was wearing was getting rather dirty and they were falling apart.

Dahlia kindly reminded me of the existence of "Toy Gun" in the item shop some weeks ago. That is the only instance of a gun I can come up with in recent memory.

Well, she started doing the finger gun thing at the end of the song...

Then the tips of her fingers actually lit up and shit. Like she was firing off bullets made of light off her fingers.

... I wish I was making that up.

I... I was upset, I guess. Will all these killings going on, well, a Bracer is supposed to stop that. A Bracer is supposed to protect the citizens. If their lives are in danger, we were supposed to do what we can to protect them, yet... I've done nothing of that sort here.

Why would you wish that? It is useful information and likely relevant to this case.

[If it killed Kaine to be polite to Szayel, it's even worse for Szayel to say something positive to anything Zack did.]

It would explain why her hand was positioned in that way, and why there were no physical bullets to be found. Since the dents were opposite of her body, she may have shot at her attacker before the killing blow to her heart was dealt.
