☆ WEEK ZERO

Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Sunday, Week 0

20 REMAIN

Welcome to the Magical World of Dreams and Magic! No matter where you are or if you're from a world with technology or otherwise, you've managed to find yourself holding a cell phone with the Magical Girl Raising Project preinstalled - a game with a rather deceiving title - with no way to actually uninstall it. Whether you're doing this voluntarily or tapped the screen by accident due to not knowing much about technology, eventually a magical fairy appears out of the blue from your phone and finally opts to speak.

"My name is Fav, and you have been chosen, pon!" For what, exactly? He soon explains that you, too, can become a real magical girl or magical boy and obtain power and help others. "If you really want to become one, just press the button here, pon. It's that simple, pon."

There's just something about Fav's voice that's so compelling, and you're promised many good things to come if you just tap that screen... but if you wait too long, you'll find your body moving on its own to do the action, as if possessed.

Once that's all said and done, you will find yourself blacking out and the next time you open your eyes... there's a very unfamiliar ceiling in a very unfamiliar bed. The place you've woken up in is a rather lavish hotel room; modern, yet has a somewhat old-fashioned feeling to it. It's rather nice, at least in comparison to the view outside.

Welcome to Town A, your almost stereotypical dystopian city in your almost stereotypical world. If not for the fact that you can't really leave, due to the barriers that encase the edges of the town.

As of right now, the clocks read 9 AM in the morning - it's time to rise and shine, sleepyheads! And as if that wasn't enough, the voice of Fav will remind you of such to meet up in the downstairs area for a very special announcement, although he won't force people to meet with him, as it's definitely not an obligation. You could always avoid the announcement. But do you honestly think that's a good idea, given that you're in a whole different world?

This is the mingle for week zero, which covers Monday (3/13) to Sunday (3/19). Since this is the first week, there will be no investigation or trial. [Honestly, it would still be out of the ordinary even in Szayel's world- one where going to other worlds and having magical costumes is a thing. He chooses to simply let that go, though.]

I suppose without enough information, it is difficult to tell either way. They were annoyingly vague in their task description- on purpose, most likely.

[He thinks about it a little more...]

Now you are genuinely making me curious.
mikooon: (smug- from footsteps)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-15 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Someone else gave me the suggestion of giving them a fake sample instead! A vial of dog's blood, or something similar.

[That could work? Maybe? It also sounds like a terrible idea, though.] If they can't tell the difference, then they mustn't be a very good at what they're trying to do, right?

[Or, they could go find the requestor and realize it's a 10,000 year old witch who will curse them both into becoming frogs. Either way.]
perfectbeing: (❥ ugh)

[personal profile] perfectbeing 2017-03-15 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Not only would they be not very good at what they're trying to do, they would be an absolute mockery to researchers who actually take their job seriously. [Not that he would expect much if it does turn out to be a regular human.] I would lose all interest in their task on the spot.

[But more importantly,]

Supplying a fake sample would require locating an animal in the first place. For a place that needs revitalizing, there isn't much life around to benefit from it.
mikooon: (w-well thats- something like this)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-16 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Absolutely mockery to researchers, uhuh yeah sure.]

That's true. I've only found animals to rescue them back home. I mean, we could always take a blood sample from pets, but I get complaints that I return them 'jittery and scared' as it is.

[Right, Tamamo. Sure.]

There are no birds, as well. I haven't even seen a single ant. No fish in the water, not even many plants growing, nor fruits in the trees that do stand.

[The more she tries to think on it, the more dead and eerie this place feels. However! That's what they're here for, right? To return it back to life.]

Well! If I ever do run into an animal, I'm sure a blood sample won't be too hard to obtain. Or, if someone else decides to actually put in their blood... but who would ever be idiotic enough to agree to that?
perfectbeing: (❥ here's why you suck)

[personal profile] perfectbeing 2017-03-17 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Tamamo please the science part is important...]

Have you seen the profiles? I wouldn't be surprised if someone does, whether it's by giving it to you or the requester directly.

[He doesn't have very high hopes for a lot of these people.

Also in other questionable comments:]

But in the chance you grow desperate enough- if you're already traumatizing the lost pets, I doubt the reason for it would be all that noticeable if the cut is subtle enough.
mikooon: (smile- between two points)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-17 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[She's like, a 1000 year old magic fox sun goddess, the only science that's important is nutrition so she knows what's too fattening and what's not--]

I would hope most people at least have the basic instinct to not give their blood away to strangers. At least, unless the stranger is very persuasive and foxy. [Like herself!

...Yeah. Totally.

Anyway, Tamamo shrugs.]
I might as well. Though, since you did say you're curious, if I do manage to procure a magical sample of blood, I'll inform you right away!

[Read as: "If they summon a blood monster on me I ain't facing that damn thing alone."]
perfectbeing: (❥ [manga] hey)

[personal profile] perfectbeing 2017-03-19 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh nice, he gets to see how this goes without having to do the blood-collecting. That works.

So he nods.]

Yes, please do. I look forward to seeing how that turns out.
mikooon: (action- wink)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-22 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[A while later, he'll actually get a text-- private, if possible:]

Well, looks like it's happening! Care to come to the lobby? We're heading out now, if you're free!
perfectbeing: (❥ [manga] congrats you suck)

[personal profile] perfectbeing 2017-03-22 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Really.

[He's. Actually a little surprised. "We're", though? Did someone...actually agree to this...]

I'll be right there.

[He was in his room, so it doesn't take him long to make his way there.]
