☆ WEEK ZERO
Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Sunday, Week 0

20 REMAIN
Welcome to the Magical World of Dreams and Magic! No matter where you are or if you're from a world with technology or otherwise, you've managed to find yourself holding a cell phone with the Magical Girl Raising Project preinstalled - a game with a rather deceiving title - with no way to actually uninstall it. Whether you're doing this voluntarily or tapped the screen by accident due to not knowing much about technology, eventually a magical fairy appears out of the blue from your phone and finally opts to speak.
- "My name is Fav, and you have been chosen, pon!" For what, exactly? He soon explains that you, too, can become a real magical girl or magical boy and obtain power and help others. "If you really want to become one, just press the button here, pon. It's that simple, pon."
There's just something about Fav's voice that's so compelling, and you're promised many good things to come if you just tap that screen... but if you wait too long, you'll find your body moving on its own to do the action, as if possessed.
Once that's all said and done, you will find yourself blacking out and the next time you open your eyes... there's a very unfamiliar ceiling in a very unfamiliar bed. The place you've woken up in is a rather lavish hotel room; modern, yet has a somewhat old-fashioned feeling to it. It's rather nice, at least in comparison to the view outside.
Welcome to Town A, your almost stereotypical dystopian city in your almost stereotypical world. If not for the fact that you can't really leave, due to the barriers that encase the edges of the town.
As of right now, the clocks read 9 AM in the morning - it's time to rise and shine, sleepyheads! And as if that wasn't enough, the voice of Fav will remind you of such to meet up in the downstairs area for a very special announcement, although he won't force people to meet with him, as it's definitely not an obligation. You could always avoid the announcement. But do you honestly think that's a good idea, given that you're in a whole different world?
- This is the mingle for week zero, which covers Monday (3/13) to Sunday (3/19). Since this is the first week, there will be no investigation or trial.

[Eh, at least she got the first syllable right.]
I may note that I have exceptional skill with the koto and kugo. [AKA: Ancient Chinese-then-Japanese harp, and ancient plucking instrument.] Though, finding out in the tricky thing... perhaps we could find any block of wood, put in some taut pieces of string, and work it out from there!
[It is doable, but rather difficult.]

Yes, of course! I was a noble lady in court once... and still am a noble lady, just out of court.
[She was ousted for being a demon tl;dr]
The size should be about... [Tamamo lets down the box to estimate a length with her hands. The box begins to crawl away from them.] This size! Oh, no you don't-- [Don't worry, Tamamo snatches it back.]
Seems that someone has to keep an eye on this thing. Could you go look for the wood and string, then?
no subject
No problem! You guard the box, and I'll find what we need! [She skips off, then pauses and doubles back.] Um...does the string need to be different thicknesses?
no subject
Thickness is no problem! Just something like nylon string. Good to pluck, and makes sounds when they are. I'll handle the tuning and tightening myself.
[She produces a bunch of nice-looking nails-- hey, wasn't there a request for rusty nails--] I found these on the floor of someone's apartment! Obviously, it was dangerous to leave them there, so I took them.
[THAT'S STEALING]

Well, they could always ask for some back, and we'd surely fetch them a few to help!
[Ah, see!! Easy solution! Magical girls rock! etc. etc.
Really, Tamamo just doesn't want to think much on it. Go get her the goods, Eliza.]
no subject
It's kind of dusty...should we wipe it off with something?
no subject
[Tamamo turns around, and... well, look as that. She's got a big, fluffy fox tail that can take up her entire back. She grabs it, and begins dusting off the strings using her tail.
Incredible... since Eliza's still holding said string, she might get batted in the face with a fox tail now and then.]
Ugh, I'll need to comb all the matted fur out eventually. [The box mutters something. It does not sound nice. Tamamo fails to notice.] Now! Let's get to work. I'll start hammering all the strings to the board and use more blocks of wood to tighten to different tensions.
[Her life as the Emperor's consort is finally becoming useful! For once.]
no subject
Alright. I guess I should watch the box while you do that, then? [It seems to be trying to inch away again.]
no subject
It takes a while for Tamamo to fix everything in place-- thanks to super strength, just a quick punch from a fist is enough to act as a pretty good hammer. With the strings in place, she starts tightening the strings to tune with.] Hm~ hm~ yes! Perfect! Now, I just need a song of love.
[Doesn't sound like a very happy song, actually... (I can't find any koto videos and a guzheng is just a koto with more strings so whatever). Even though the sound is crisp, it almost sounds like mourning instead.
Maybe a different song choice? But it sounds nice, and Tamamo is getting super into it...]
no subject
Um...does that song have lyrics? That's how you know it's a love song, right? I can sing along while you play! [There is no way this plan can go wrong.]
no subject
[...
Anyway! She considers it for a moment.] But, well, I suppose we are playing for no Emperor right now. [She changes up the tune to something much more lively.] Make lyrics up as you go!
[Have... have fun?]
This probably doesn't match the actual rhythm because I am lazy
Oh my love, oh my love,
I've got something to give to you.
Oh my love, oh my love,
I will show you my heart is true.
Oh my love, come on down.
Come on down, come on down,
To see what I have brought.
Come on down, cone on down,
To get what I have caught. [The box wriggles in her arms again, and she adjusts her grip.]
Love of mine, love of mine,
You are my true soulmate.
Love of mine, love of mine,
I think you're...really great?
Love of mine, come on out.
Come on out, come on out,
You are...really really dandy?
Come on out, come on out,
I've got...somethingsweeterthancandy.

In any case, even the most hardened of souls would open their doors to witness... whatever the hell was going on outside. Has this town even heard music before?
When some doors begin to creep open, it almost looks like a scene out of a horror movie instead of a love story. But! Tamamo is undeterred.]
Keep singing! I think it's working!
[ooc: also im gonna ping the mods rn to see if we need NPC so if there's an NPC reply after me just roll with it]

[Tamamo's busy playing, so-- it's your time to shine, Eliza!]
no subject
Hello? We're here with something your soulmate wants us to give you!
no subject
[The voice is coming from in there...somewhere. It sounds like an old woman, but it's kind of hard to tell if there's anyone in there.]
Let me see it, hold it up to the door, please.
no subject
It's...a little wriggly. ["A little" feels like an understatement.]

Oh, it's just you.

[Moeka's a little softer than she expected someone who looks like her to be. She gave the impression of a prim & proper businesswoman, just also dressed in a maid costume or something at the same time.]
Come on now! We're trying to lure our recipient out, so start singing!
[S-singing??]
no subject
I- I can't!
LATE TAG BUT IM BACK
[run now]

Which, what did you expect?]
