It's already been seven days, and things don't seem to change much... except for the fact that the task board has been updated. Of course, on Monday, everyone will once again be reminded of a rather hasty announcement at 9 AM in the morning. Of course, Fav won't wake up people who are too sleepy, but the words that the fairy seems to say make things fill up with a higher sense of urgency.

"Wake up, pon! There's a huge announcement that needs to be given, pon! It's very important that you come downstairs, pon."

Doesn't that go against your whole grand scheme? I thought fixing this place up was the whole reason we were dragged here in the first place.

...Unless killing people is more your style and the town was just a cover up.

While it's true that fixing the place is still a priority, we didn't expect the mana decrease to be this big, pon. I don't like killing people as much as the next person, pon. But that's what my master decided to do in order to make sure this town gets fixed, pon.

...and because of that, you can't just send us back?

[It would be wishful thinking, probably, but it's something that needs to be asked, at least.]

The candies are what are needed to send people back, pon. It's what's used to cast the spell, pon.

100,000 candy... is that the number we need to cast the spell for all of us, or just one person?

I guess there's no way we could manage that in time... or is there? How much time do we have left?

About a little over a month probably, pon. Give or take, pon.

A month... that's not impossible, probably.

[A lot more work then any of them probably wanted to do but it sure beats the alternative.]

So. If we get it all in the month, it's fine if nobody dies, right?

We'll still need to drop someone by the end of the week, pon. That's the ruling my master came up with, pon.

And why's that? If we came up with enough candy to get us each out one by one, that shouldn't be necessary.
