It's already been seven days, and things don't seem to change much... except for the fact that the task board has been updated. Of course, on Monday, everyone will once again be reminded of a rather hasty announcement at 9 AM in the morning. Of course, Fav won't wake up people who are too sleepy, but the words that the fairy seems to say make things fill up with a higher sense of urgency.

[ There definitely doesn't seem to be any sort of weakness to the border; in fact, if he tries hitting it, it will simply bounce back at him. If he tries to jump it, he will also bounce on it.

Which might lead to some rough landings, so good luck there, Joshua... ]

[Normally, he would stop, but he's going to try again... so jumping back on the roof tops and trying to 'jump over' the border again. Honestly, he knows it's futile, but just in case...

...maybe if there's one weakness.]

[ There's definitely no weakness but he'll soon feel a buzzing from his phone. If he looks at it, he'll see one single thing. It doesn't say who it's from, but it's obvious that whoever sent it is making fun of him.

Especially when it's this. It probably doesn't help that a song is playing along with it.

[He's just going to lie on his back in the street wearing his skimpy transformed outfit and open his phone...

[ Edna didn't doubt the barrier's authenticity or it's strength. Probably because she was familiar with just how powerful those things could be. But going there wasn't a waste because that sure is a girl that looks like Joshua jumping and bouncing off of the barrier.

Only then there's music coming from his phone and Edna being Edna, she's going to quietly walk up to see what the screen says too.

And she's not trying hard at all to cover up her laughter.]

Or maybe if you sing the song while you jump, they'll let you out.

[Joshua didn't doubt it either, but he wasn't going to just stand around idly and not investigate. He had to get out... they all need to now that the intention of their stay has been mentioned.]

I highly doubt that's the case.

[He knows he's being teased as he sits up. Ugh, he's not used to long hair, as he moves it out of his face...]

It was worth a shot.

[Edna shrugged. It could have been great.]

...what were you trying to do anyway?

[He pushes the button his phone to get out of his transformation and stands up, inspecting himself for bumps and scrapes he has... Which are a lot.]

I was trying to see if there was a way to overcome this border. That's all.

[...right. Well. She wanted to try it anyway-- might as well help him put it to the test with her newly regained ability.]

Stand back.

[And he does stand back. If she has something up her sleeve, he won't stop her from trying it.]

[Once he's out of the way, Edna faces the barrier. Extending her arm out in front of her, towards the barrier in her way, she calls out to the arte-- just like she would have before.]

Rock Lance.

[The ground before her cracks and several rock peeks form from the ground, at her chosen target-- the barrier. Worth a shot.]

[ You might want to be careful, Edna. Because once those rocks hit the barrier, they're bouncing right on back in your general direction. ]

[...well it's finally a good thing she's small. And that she had Joshua step back. Time to step the heck back and fast..]

...I figured that wouldn't work. It won't be easy figuring a way out of this one.

[So much for wishful thinking.]

[Yeah, he's stepping out of the way regardless, but he's not surprised by the art. She's not using an Orbment, but she did say she was a spirit of sorts...]

Guess that's out. It won't be easy trying to figure our way out of this one.

Likely there's someone controlling it, or very specific conditions used to put it up. If we want out, my bet is that we're going to have to find the person responsible for putting it up.

[An answer that doesn't bode well with their limited time.]

That's really the only explanation. There's no real way it would hold up otherwise, unless there was some system or technology that was doing this.

[Yeah, not with Joshua either. Escape may not be an option.]

Well. We better hope the person or contraption controlling it is on our side of the barrier then. How hard could it be? We only have a whole town to search...

[Well... at least they have a decent sized group, she supposes.]

Better look now before we run out of time.

We can only hope. At this point we're animals locked in a cage who are likely going to grow more violent by the day if someone takes Fav up on his offer.

[But yeah.... they do need to look.]

It's why I tried a few things. We need to get out. I have to get out!

[She's not used to being the strong one but-- well. If she can support the others here a little, maybe it was worth a shot.]

I have important things I need to get out of here and do. So it doesn't matter how many blockades they try and put in front of me. We'll just have to find another way to knock them down.

[He takes a deep breath.]

I just can't sit idly by right now. Though we do need formula a plan. I suppose just trying to brute my way through it wasn't the wisest.

[But at least they know now.]

Well, since we're at it, we might as well take a look around. If we circle the town, follow the barrier, we may find something.

[The source shouldn't be too far away from the barrier right? At least she hopes not.]
