☆ WEEK ONE

Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Thursday, Week 1

20 REMAIN

It's already been seven days, and things don't seem to change much... except for the fact that the task board has been updated. Of course, on Monday, everyone will once again be reminded of a rather hasty announcement at 9 AM in the morning. Of course, Fav won't wake up people who are too sleepy, but the words that the fairy seems to say make things fill up with a higher sense of urgency.
"Wake up, pon! There's a huge announcement that needs to be given, pon! It's very important that you come downstairs, pon."

This is the mingle for week one, which covers Monday (3/20) to Sunday (3/23). When posting toplevels, please specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations, please notify us in the link given below.

Even if they wanted four, four can easily become one with very little intervention. ☆

[Rather, Tamamo counts on the human emotion of severe paranoia to kick in before anything else. Cabin fever is a real thing, stuck out here in a begone corner of the universe.

Tamamo may be acting casual, but she's obviously disappointed about all this. Nothing much stronger than disappointment from her, though.]

Well, I suppose 'four' is also a good number to hold the semi-finals. [So she's thinking along the same lines.]

Or we remain this number...and, I fear, face a destruction of a different kind.

We are from different places and therefore have little loyalty to each other. It's easy to believe the story could end that way.

[Disappointment, more than fear or denial, is an odd reaction. Hypocritically (considering her own efforts to resist any emotional response), One finds herself bristling a little.]

Oh, well, or maybe it'll turn out to be a prank to test our do-gooder Magical Girl personalities!

[Tamamo definitely doesn't believe it, despite her cheerful voice. It's something between sarcasm and dejection.]

...On a serious note. There's not much we can do. We are at their mercy.

Buuut! [And she perks up suddenly at the 'but'.] I'm sure they wouldn't put in so much effort to just let us die like fools, so they must have a bigger plan. Just have to make it to the end, that's all!

I can't stand admitting that kind of helplessness. [Revolutionaries never like facing the futility of their desire for revolution, and One's no different.

What Tamamo says should be suspicious--making it to the end could mean one of any number of things. An intent to kill and get away with it...an intent to idle by while the weaker ones are picked off. One's smile is wry and thin-lipped.
]

A do-gooder would intervene, right?
mikooon: (w-well thats- something like this)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-24 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose a do-gooder would do anything to stop a death. "Here, take my candies, I won't let you die!!" Or something to that extent.

[Tamamo tilts her head.] From what he's told us, being stripped of your Magical Girl title is as good as being dead. I'm not risking it, and I don't think anyone else here is willing to risk it, either.

[A pause:] Though, I do remember, a girl did say she was already dead...

As good as, or exactly as. [That was the impression she got, anyway.] So doing good comes down to sacrifice, or supporting another at the cost of your own exhaustion.

[One thinks a moment, as if thinking of some do-gooder she once knew. Further commentary is truncated, however, upon hearing that someone here is already claiming to be dead.]

Is that so? I wonder if that will protect her this time around.
mikooon: (stare- fate turning back)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-24 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[On the other hand, Tamamo is trying to figure out how the hell it would even be possible to keep everyone's candy balance the same. Nah, no way. Not everything is divisible by 20. And things will get worse once the numbers go down-- which they inevitably will...]

Oh, yes. She said she was dead, but I'm not quite sure if that bothers her much. [Tamamo shrugs.] It could be a lie, too. However, it would be strange to bring us together to make us fight for a way home if there are people who are uninterested in doing so, or don't have anything to return to. You'd think they would choose twenty fervent housewives, all fighting tooth and nail to return!!

[...Why fervent housewives...?]

[This morning, it was divisible by 20--One did the math for that earlier, too, and came to the same conclusion. The balance was delicate, but raising that number to the entire group would be irresponsible. They're too reckless right now. Maybe she'll regret that later.]

Fervent housewives. [She repeats flatly.] That sounds like its own kind of hell. I'd want to get away from those screaming children.

[Her point is the opposite is true. Maybe others have a reason but haven't realized it yet.]
mikooon: (annoyed- behind darkness)

[personal profile] mikooon 2017-03-25 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, it would be terrible. Fighting with one is bad enough. [Tamamo agrees... for completely different reasons.] But, from an... outside perspective, perhaps some will find it better to watch.

[Like how you witness a car crash, it's terrible, but you just can't look away.]

--And a battle of housewives would be one of life and death! Much less child's play!

[She has to add it in.]

In any case. You are... One, correct? [A strange name, but she's seen weirder.]
