20 REMAIN...?

It's been a rather rough couple of days. Of course it has, given the fact that Fav made the announcement that he'd be cutting the number down to four, and the fact that killing someone would actually make people get candy a lot faster than normal. But nobody is irrational enough to take Fav up on his rather generous offer, right? After all, it's murder!

Nevertheless, the town seems rather quiet as always and it doesn't seem that anything horrible is going to happen at all in the slightest bit. It's just your normal, ordinary Friday, so feel free to go about it as you wish, whether you sleep in or otherwise.

[ She's not missing a leg (fortunately??) but she seems to be holding onto her magical phone tightly and seems to be bleeding a little on the head.

Also, he'll definitely notice that her body is facing the mirror. ]

Miach is going to shove past screaming people, looking entirely apathetic to the presence of death. Since she still has the bone, she'll hold the bloody side against Dia's head to see if the size of blood marks might match. ]

[ It's a perfect match!

And because the mod forgot Dia is also untransformed and seems to have a white sash around her waist that resembles her transformed state. The sash seems to look like the sheets used in the apartments, as well. ]

[Szayel's the next one on the scene, having seen the ominous message on the network. All the screaming is helpful in getting him to the right place.

While he remains plainly calm for the most part, he's frowning slightly. He didn't expect Dia to be the first one to fall, considering she seemed to be one of the more methodical members of the group.

He'll slide past the onlookers and join Miach at the body.]

So. What's happened, here? How late am I?

[ Miach waves the bone in Szayel's general direction to display it. ]

Murder by blunt force trauma, I would assume. This bone probably stems from one of the skeletons and it had tried blood on it when we found it - matches her head injury from all I can tell on first sight.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

They used a bone as a club? Well that's rather barbaric.

[Like, of all the potential murder weapons out there...]

Is that it so far? We should thoroughly examine her if Fav truly intends for us to go through this ridiculous trial.

Well, I just arrived here, too. There wasn't a lot of time.

[ She waves her hands (and subsequently the bone) dismissively. ]

The stage is yours if you want it.

[Don't encourage him by saying like it's some sort of performance, Miach...

Miach is one of the people that isn't decisively on Szayel's shit list though, so as he leans over to get a look at Dia's body...]

How much do you know about bodies?

[...that sounds so weird worded like that. But the question comes based on their previous conversations.]

My knowledge of forensics comes entirely from crime novels, but I've looked into human anatomy quite extensively.

I'm more versed in pharmacology though.

[ She likes to think about how misused medicine can fuck people up. ]

Is her body stiff already? The blood on the bone was dry, but...

[ Have fun with the body. There is a head wound as specified earlier, as well as the white bedsheet sash that looks strange on her untransformed state.

There's also dirt on her hands but not on the magical phone that she's holding, which seems to be on. ]

I am sure that your knowledge is better than many here, so that should do. Two people with anatomical knowledge is better than one, especially if we are going to be debating this later.

[...it's his way of inviting her to investigate with him if she wants, apparently.

With that said, he'll start with Miach's suggestion of checking the state of Dia's body to see if they can roughly estimate how long she's been dead.]

[ He'll be able to tell that she's been dead for at least ten hours or so. ]

[ It's a very noncommital noise, but since Miach isn't leaving, it probably means she's agreed to be an pathologist assistant.

She's going to give the body a look of her own.

Is the wound at the back of the head? And also... what kind of dirt is on her hands? And what does her magical phone show at the moment? ]

[ The magical phone seems to show a single text, left unsent: Eddna.

As for the injuries it seems to be right on the back of her head and the dirt seems to be more or less the dust you'd find in the apartments. ]

... this is so cliché.

[ LISTEN, this is so by the book that it's almost boring.

But okay, let's inform Szayel of this non-forensic fact: ]

We have a dying message - lo and behold, it's a badly spelled name of one of us. Edna.

[ Does this phone have any dusty fingerprints on it at all? And is Dia's hand even closed around it in a natural looking way? ]

[Zack's a bit shell shocked thanks to that wonderful announcement Fav made, but his eyes slowly trail from her body to the mirror.]

[The fact that someone died and Taiki was unable to do anything to stop it... The weight of it threatens to drag him to the ground. He wasn't able to protect everyone...

But Taiki will eventually pull himself together enough to move closer to the now dead girl. It isn't fair to her if he does nothing now. Will he notice anything else besides what's been stated once he's standing beside Dia's body?]

[ The room itself is rather clean outside of the body. If you're looking on her body, however, her arms seem to have dry blood on them, along with the injury to the head. ]

[The cleanliness may not be immediately apparent to Taiki, but he'll kneel down when he sees the dried blood.]

...I'm sorry, Dia.

[It's a whisper said under his breath, only for him and the dead body to hear unless someone happens to be listening closely.

Is the blood on her head dry as well, or is there a noticeable difference between them?]

[ Her head is dry as well! ]

[Taiki doesn't have any background in forensics, so that won't give him any hard indicators of time. But he'll be able to figure out that means it isn't anything recent.

But... Not that he watches a lot of bloody anime at home or anything, but there should be at least a trace of it on the ground near Dia, right-?]

The... ground looks clear? [His eyebrows furrow.

Besides the cleanliness of the floor, is there anything else lying near Dia that he might see?]

[ BLOODY HELL-- nope, no blood to be found here. Or anything else, really. Just the body (and things on said body) and the phone that Dia seems to be holding. ]

[Since there doesn't seem to be anything else for Taiki to see on the ground, his gaze will finally pull back up to the body - and to the phone she's holding. Anything he should notice upon taking a closer look?]

[ Just that ~*mysterious*~ dying message that spells out Eddna. Other than that, nope, nothing. ]

Why is... Edna's name here? [Was Dia trying to tell her something before she died? I should... try and find her to talk, maybe.

But for now Taiki will stand and prepare to leave. If there's not much else to find here, then he doesn't need to stay. He'll announce that to the other two people in the room before he does as much; he doesn't know if it'll concern them, but it's better to keep everybody aware of things in this situation.] I'm going to head out and meet up with Eruna and Recette. Be careful.
