20 REMAIN...?

It's been a rather rough couple of days. Of course it has, given the fact that Fav made the announcement that he'd be cutting the number down to four, and the fact that killing someone would actually make people get candy a lot faster than normal. But nobody is irrational enough to take Fav up on his rather generous offer, right? After all, it's murder!

Nevertheless, the town seems rather quiet as always and it doesn't seem that anything horrible is going to happen at all in the slightest bit. It's just your normal, ordinary Friday, so feel free to go about it as you wish, whether you sleep in or otherwise.

[And here's Edna, with the thing that metal probably came from.]

...so the door's jammed...

[She's ready to bust it down herself if no one stops her.]

Miss Edna. [Everyone's coming to this murder party, huh...] What've you got there?

It's a screwdriver. And ironically, it's missing a piece from the tip. It's probably what's broken off in there.

I see. We resolved that rather quickly. [Good timing, Edna!]

But I'm afraid we lack the tools to take something like that out. We may have to break the door after all.

Alright. Stand back. I'm used to this kind of thing.

[...although she needs the transformation to do it now.

She aims a very concentrated punch with both hands at the hinges, to knock it in on that side.

Not enough to demolish it just... blow it in on this side.]

[The door holds but, it's looking a bit battered now. Maybe another hit?]

[He's always happy to watch a magical girl at work - he's actually surprised the door didn't break yet.]

It's quite sturdy. I should try that trick for myself sometime, if my door is in need of locking.

[Ass...uming there are no working locks in this apartment for the jamming to be necessary in the first place? He honestly didn't bother.]

I doubt they knew what they were doing, but they sure managed to make things difficult.

[Alright. One more time. Just as hard. She's knocking this door down, no questions about it.]

[ And the door goes flying! May it rest in pieces. But with it comes the very faint coppery smell of blood. It's definitely stronger here than it is in the room they found Dia in. ]

Guys...

[Okay. She's well versed in death, so she's going to head in, following the scent to where it's strongest. Where will that lead her?]

[ The living room, in fact. There's blood on one of the walls which seems to be slightly dented but there doesn't seem to be a body here! That's a good sign, right? ]

...this might be where our murder happened.

[Any trails of blood that go with that blood spatter that might lead her to anything else?]

[ Nope. It seems that this is the only blood in the room. ]

[Alright then... just to be safe. How about the bathroom?]

[ Bathroom's clean. Also apologies on my part as a last minute addition: there is some smeared blood on the living room floor; as if someone was trying to wipe it. ]

Well, this seems bad...

[He'll follow her, of course. He's not here to play around.]

It looks like a fight took place here.

You're right... but this is strange. Why would the killer lock the door? Assuming you're right that the murder happened here, they went to the trouble of moving the body. They could have just cleaned up the blood.

[He's going to search the room for other signs of disturbance. Are there other signs of struggle? He'll even drop to his hands and knees to search for minor details.]

[ Besides the smudged blood on the floor that Edna found earlier, it definitely looks like it's less dusty than the other rooms are. ]

[Well, he'll definitely notice that. He spent all Wednesday making his own room spic n' span, he knows firsthand how rundown these apartments are. So, how much less dusty? They couldn't have cleaned the whole floor just to put blood back on it, so what exactly are we looking at here. Does it look like something was dragged, for example a body?]

[Taiki will race down the hall the moment he hears the door crash. No one is out in the hall by the time he arrives at the room with its missing door, but Taiki will throw himself inside, gripping the doorframe tight.]

Is everyone okay in here?!

[Wow. Someone's energetic.]

We're fine. The room, less so. Did you find anything?

[He was investigating the body, wasn't he?]

Yeah, it... doesn't look good in here. [He can say, now that he's had a chance to look around. And smell too, since he hasn't been around it much but the scent of blood is heavy in here.] And I... found Dia's body with the others. [Taiki shuts his eyes tight.] She's in the bathroom of one of the rooms, facing the mirror. It looks like someone hit her in the head, because there was blood. It's dried, so it was probably a while ago.

Although... [Taiki opens his eyes, glancing around.] If there's blood in here, maybe this is where things actually happened. There was nothing on the floor of the bathroom. Not even a trace of blood.

[For her somewhat childish looks, Edna doesn't seem very shaken. At least not where the investigation is concerned. But this information is important, since she didn't go see the body herself.]

It's very likely her head hit this wall, unless there's a weapon out there we haven't found yet.
