☆ WEEK ONE ( TRIAL - DAY TWO )

Trial Day #2
Sunday, Week 1

Victim

Suspects

At around the same time as yesterday - 8 in the morning - all characters will, once again, be brought into the same magical world as the day prior. As always, breakfast and lunch will be served to anybody who asks for it, and any requests from the day prior will be held. Throughout the trial, music will also be played in the background; it's not loud enough to be overbearing, but it's definitely there to stay. But for those with good ears, you might just recognize one of the voices singing the song. That's not important, though.

"Today is the last day to discuss the murder of Dia Kurosawa, pon! Please make sure to submit your votes in before the time limit if you do not want to get removed from the game!"

Access to voting on their magical phones is now available, along with a warning for characters to vote, as it closes at 8 PM.

LET'S RECAP....

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-26 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[♪♪♪]

It's been a long few days, so let's recap what we've learned, shall we? On Friday, several of our group found Dia-chan's dead body in room 22 of the southern apartment buildings; specifically the bathroom. It seems that she was killed with a blow to the head with a bone that was found by a dog, which came from one of the closets -- I don't think I've heard which one. As for evidence found in the bathroom, Dia-chan was holding her magical phone but her fingers were forcibly shut. The phone wrote a message that seems to implicate Edna-chan but is misspelled as Eddna. Chiaki-chan brought up that if you put the two lower case ds near a mirror it would form bb, which seems to implicate B-kun, but obviously Dia-chan didn't write the message and B-kun wouldn't purposely implicate himself unless there was another reason to that I'm just not thinking of... Dia-chan's hands were also dusty, but the phone wasn't; she also was wearing a bedsheet around her like her magical girl outfit, which is strange, given that she's wearing her uniform. Maybe it's meant to be some sort of hint for something? The sheet had blood and dust all over it.

Anyway, there was a screwdriver that was found broken that was presumably used to forcibly lock a door shut. Which is probably for the real scene of the crime.

Dahlia-chan and One-chan also checked Dia-chan's room, but didn't find anything of note.

And I think that's it! Am I missing anything?
zackthekiller: (Just a bit worried.)

I dunno. B was acting weird on Monday...

[Not that Zack knows B too well (He seems to have figured out B=Ryuzaki, though) but Zack's starting to get reminded of a couple of killers from the building he once worked, and how they all seemed to have a theme...]

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-26 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Weird how, exactly?
zackthekiller: (Eh?)

[personal profile] zackthekiller 2017-03-26 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Like... He kept staring at people for no good reason.

Creepy.

[Always watch the creepy, silent ones.]
beyondmoe: (pout)

[personal profile] beyondmoe 2017-03-26 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it unusual for me to be creepy? That's a contradiction, you know. You called me creepy last week, too.

[he seems to be pouting.]
zackthekiller: (Hate to piss in your cheerios but...)

[personal profile] zackthekiller 2017-03-27 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, let me rephrase that.

You were acting creepier than usual.
beyondmoe: (BANG!)

[personal profile] beyondmoe 2017-03-27 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
I believe you are biased.

To reiterate with the sash, which seems to a piece of bedding from the apartments, I believe we may be able to glean some information off of the positioning of the blood spatter, if it was indeed used to be a sort of shield for the attacker to avoid getting blood on themselves as they attacked Dia. For instance, the height of the attacker was called into question with this positioning.

I do have the fabric with me, as I know some wanted to see it with their own eyes.

[Even though he is more than confident with what he's talking about!! But whatever.

He produces the makeshift sash, blood, dust and all. Feel free to have it be passed over, etc.]

I believe we should consider the involvement of dust a bit further as well, namely why Dia's fingers appear to be dusty, and the potential of dust transfer while handling that fabric.

[He's even had to brush himself off a few times. He's fairly certain whoever was handling it wouldn't get away from it without getting dusty themselves.]
yourdreamismydream: <user name=Yamadori> (yeah...)

[personal profile] yourdreamismydream 2017-03-26 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Taiki doesn't need to see it up close; he can see it from a distance just fine, and he's pretty confident in Szayel's observations. He's proven himself to be an observant person from what Taiki has seen from afar, so he won't doubt him now.]

I know we went over it yesterday, but it seems like what was said before is probably true concerning the height - it's sounding pretty likely that the killer is someone shorter than Dia. And if I remember correctly, we had ruled out the only people shorter than her as Edna, BB's magical girl form, and Recette, right?

From what we've been told, it can't be someone not on the suspect list, so Recette is automatically ruled out. And looking at Edna's room and hearing the other evidence being thrown around, I don't think it was Edna that did it either. [He sighs.] BB is probably the most suspicious right now, taking this knowledge into account, but I don't want to accuse him of anything without being absolutely sure.

[If he voted wrong... If someone was hurt because of him...

Don't think about that right now.]

As for the dust, maybe we should consider places that seemed either really dusty or had very little at all?

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-26 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if this would work, but we possibly try having someone wear the sheet and see if the splatters would match up?
imitationsoul: (22 - neutral)

[personal profile] imitationsoul 2017-03-26 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Wear it what way? There are many ways to tie a sheet around yourself.
crossingout: (pic#11093480)

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-26 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
How about we try to tie it around the suspect's body without covering their head? And if that doesn't work, we can attempt to put it over their head, like a ghost. I mean, there was a task about the apartments being haunted after all, wasn't there?
sedatedkiss: (why so srs)

[personal profile] sedatedkiss 2017-03-26 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm presuming around themselves like a toga of some sort, that is, if we're assuming someone went into this with the idea of premeditated murder.
telecosmetic: (confused)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-26 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
But Ryuzaki is a detective! It's not allowed for the detective to be the killer!
imitationsoul: (𝓭𝓮𝓪𝓭 𝓶𝓮𝓭𝓲𝓪)

[personal profile] imitationsoul 2017-03-26 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It is, when there is more than one detective in the story.
crossingout: (pic#11093472)

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-26 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Says what? Detectives can be killers too, no exceptions. They just need to have the right motive. This isn't a novel, after all -- this is reality.
telecosmetic: (indignant)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-27 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
But he wanted to solve the mystery! He even said that was probably why Fav brought him here! He wouldn't be the killer!
crossingout: (pic#11093473)

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-27 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Then you'll have to prove it to me. Show me evidence that tells me that B-kun is definitely, decisively, not the killer.
telecosmetic: (staring tears)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-27 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
I-I don't have any of that...but Joshua just explained there's no way Dia could have left that message at all! So the main clue that was pointing to him is fake!

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-03-27 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
And what if it's reverse psychology? Because Dia-chan couldn't have left that message, they decided to make a clue that pointed to them that could implicate them... or something like that.

Although I personally think that's a stupid move to make, for a detective.

I am bothered by the screwdriver.

Edna found it in the auto shop, which is on the edge of town. We do not know if it was there or missing when she went there while working on the skeletons.

If it was used to lock the door after Dia died, then we must be looking for someone who would know where to get the screwdriver or who already had it. Why risk leaving the scene alone for too long?
telecosmetic: (maybe this will work)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-27 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Are there any fingerprints on there?
selfloving: (Default)

[personal profile] selfloving 2017-03-27 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's unlikely. Besides, I doubt Edna covered her hands before picking it up on Friday. She had no idea that she was about to be implicated, even if it's false.
telecosmetic: (oh...)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-27 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh...was it dusty when she picked it up?

We should ask her. I wasn't there, and she hasn't said.
