It's only been two weeks and you've already lost two of your comrades: Dia Kurosawa and Beyond Birthday. But you have to move forward, otherwise there's no possible way that you'll even get the slightest chance to go back home, or even stop this horrific game. Nevertheless, the same voice from Fav chimes in at 9 AM in the morning, just as always.

"Wake up, pon! There will be another important announcement in the lobby, so it's important that you show up, pon."

Edna! [Taiki is surprised to run into her on his way back, but it slips into something more solemn as he realizes that she... doesn't seem to be doing that well.] Are you... holding up okay? I know that Fav mentioned the malevolence was something you were familiar with, but... You sounded kind of upset at first when you were talking with Kyuubey.

[He almost wishes he'd been close enough to hear the details when they talked, but... If it's something Edna wants to tell him, she'll tell him, and it isn't his business otherwise.]

[Edna stops walking and looks at him. It's true, she's not hiding it so well anymore. Not after the last thing that Kyuubey said to her. There were a lot of things she felt unsure about. Worried about. Talking about them with others hadn't been her first thought, however-- when he asked, she considered it. People already had different bits of the story, so it probably wouldn't hurt to talk about it all.]

Yes. I'm worried about the changes to the town.

[She sighs.]

That black fog and the creatures carrying it... Like it said, there's something like that in my world called malevolence. It's associated with human sins and the darkness in people's hearts. When people are filled with too much of it, they turn into monsters known now as hellions. They said it's different, but they don't seem to know anything about it, so I can't really trust that when they say they don't even know what it does.

[Taiki nods. He's pretty worried himself, too, even if he's not as familiar with it.] Yeah, it... didn't sound good at all...

The malevolence, though... I'm sorry it plagues you back home. [He folds his arms across his chest.] Yet... The fact that it's here now is making me wonder if they're being as honest about it as they could be. Kyuubey definitely has been more forthcoming today than Fav has over the course of three weeks, but... All of it is still really suspicious.

And human sins... If they're lying about it being different, I'm the fact they're forcing us to kill each seems likely to make it worse.

[In fact, after that conversation with Kyuubey earlier, he's almost sure of it.

This world... It's a death trap for all of them, isn't it?]
