Throughout the week, you are given various tasks to fulfill, in order to get candy and go back home. But it's going to be a rough ride, considering that you need 100,000 candy to get back there. But don't worry, with the new candy count increase, things should be a lot easier, right? What could possibly go wrong?

[Zack gives Eliza a blank stare.]

... The hell is a Pokemon?

Oh, um, they're creatures from my world! They come in all sorts of different colors and have different kinds of elemental powers! [A pause] Humans and Pokemon are supposed to work together, and Pokemon battles are supposed to be a non-lethal way of dealing with arguments. I had my own with me before I came here, but the Mastermind took them...and she called them "things"! [Her voice turns indignant.]

... So, they're like pets with superpowers?

[Zack, no.]

Yeah, kind of? I guess if people had their powers they'd be considered "super." Although most Pokemon do like to fight, so they're not just pets.

[zackthekiller]

Okay, so they're dangerous pets with superpowers. Yikes.

I'll try to keep an eye out for them before they destroy anything. Remind me again what they look like?

Most of them probably don't want to destroy things! But I made a post about them two weeks ago.

[He takes Eliza's phone for a second and taps the post. Enjoy the sound of Eliza's voice talking about her pokemon for the next few minutes.]

[After he's done, he gives the phone back.]

That sounds like some kind of zoo you'd keep in a video game.

A zoo? Well, not really. I keep them in Pokeballs some of the time, like if they're badly hurt or the environment isn't good for them.

What? How the fuck do they fit in those?!

Well, I don't know the exact science behind it, but they can turn into energy that the balls can store. That's also how they can be stored in the PC if you have too many with you!

Wait, you can put these things in a computer?!

[Pokemon are weird, okay?]

Yup! There's even a Pokemon called Porygon that was originally created by a computer!

[Zack.exe has crashed. Manual reboot?]

...Zack? Are you okay? [She's going to...wave her hand in front of his face, then tap him on the shoulder if that doesn't work.]

[He stumbles back a step.]

Oh, I'm sorry! You just...stopped responding there for a while.

Well, what was I supposed to say? Animals don't normally have the ability to get shoved into a computer and breathe fire and shit.

Well...that's just normal where I come from. If I find one of them again, I'm probably going to have them fight Kyubey.

Weird...

Hey, if they're computer-animal things, maybe you could sic 'em on Fav too?

I'm not sure. Since when Pokemon go into digital form it also kind of puts them to sleep. They can be kind of aware of what's going on outside their Pokeballs, but that's it. But there was a way to let them battle in digital forms, although I never used it myself.

Oh... Okay.

It would be kind of weird being awake while it turned into data or something.

Yeah...plus Fav's kind of tiny. Even tinier than most baby Pokemon. So fighting Kyubey would probably feel more normal to them.

[zackthekiller]

What, you don't want them to squish that blobby bastard?

[telecosmetic]

[Well, this is after she's asked Fav about whether or not he's mostly under his master's control...] I don't want them to get upset if it turns out they can't.
