☆ WEEK TWO
Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Thursday, Week 2

18 REMAIN
It's only been two weeks and you've already lost two of your comrades: Dia Kurosawa and Beyond Birthday. But you have to move forward, otherwise there's no possible way that you'll even get the slightest chance to go back home, or even stop this horrific game. Nevertheless, the same voice from Fav chimes in at 9 AM in the morning, just as always.
- "Wake up, pon! There will be another important announcement in the lobby, so it's important that you show up, pon."
- This is the mingle for week two, which covers Monday (3/27) to Thursday (3/30).
When posting toplevels, please specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations, please notify us in the link given below.

MOTIVE
Or as Edna probably knows it as a form of malevolence, pon. A lot of the time it's in the form of insects or black smoke. Even though you are magical girls and boys, it would be best for you all not to touch it. You can possibly die if you do, pon.
Anyway, for this week, I have brought a friend to help me out with the announcements.
[ And once Fav stops speaking, another creature appears in Fav's place, just sitting on the table. ]
Hello everyone of town A. My name is Kyuubey, although some of you probably already know that if you've been watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I'm here to convince you all today to murder. If you succeed in murdering and get away with it, I'll grant one wish.
The only wishes I'm barred from granting is sending you guys home or ending this game, but anything else is completely fine.
Anyway, you guys wanted to see your candy count, so here it is:
Eliza: 1397
Zack: 1087
One: 937
Nagi: 782
Joshua: 747
Recette: 682
Eruna: 662
Kaine: 657
Moeka: 622
Miach: 592
Tamamo-no-Mae: 597
Renji: 597
Szayelaporro: 597
Taiki: 597
Dahlia: 597
Seraphina: 597
Chiaki: 577
Edna: 457
Also, Fav's sent item priority for three people, so those three can choose whether or not to use that priority and grab the items before anybody else. If you have any questions... I'll be around.

[Joshua can be seen in the morning simply by the river and reading what seems to be the same book: ‘The 100 Day War’. Each day he reads a few chapters before closing the book and leaving the river. Sometimes he’s just looking out to the river and there’s a nostalgic look on his face – like he’s looking at something that’s bright and beautiful… but something he can’t have. After a bit, he’ll up and leave.
The middle school in the afternoon is also a place he’ll be found reading books. He’ll actually be picking up books on history and politics and diligently reading through them. From the look on his face, he actually finds this really interesting… Then again, school was something he was good at even if where he’s from they only had it once a week through a church…]
Monday – Arcade
[The place is a bit too flashy for him, but he decides to look around anyway. He does seem to pick up a game that seems to have some… familiar looking characters on it even if their faces can’t be seen. Thinking it’s a coincidence, he finds what he finds the console it belongs in… it takes only about ten minutes before there’s an obvious look of rage on his face and places the console down almost too calmly…]
This is bullshit…
[He’s still eerily calm but his voice just sounds devoid of emotion… and rather creepy.]

[Where did this middle school come from? Zack has no idea, nor is he sure why it's so clean in comparison to the rest of the town.]
[He does realize there must be a nurse's room somewhere around here, and where there is a nurse's room, there must be actual bandages! Guess who is going to look for the nurse's room?]
Tuesday-Wednesday
[Zack's lurking about the arcade, trying to make sense of the games. It might have helped if he could read the instructions on the screen, but right now he's going to be kind of failing at a game? Someone help him before he flips a table or something.]
Wednsday-Thursday
[Zack has finally wandered into the theatre. He heard there were slasher flicks playing, so he wants to go watch. However, a certian trailer shows up on the screen, and Zack thinks he recognizes the protaganist from somewhere...]

[Edna's... not taking the weekly news well. Worse than the original announcement that they'd have to cut their numbers dramatically. Why that is... well, at times she seems to be holding the locket around her neck tightly. Maybe it's some kind of lucky charm. Or maybe there's a sad story there waiting for you. Either way, she's pretty shaken at first.]
Monday Afternoon - Arcade
[...her mood doesn't pick up with the arcade. At first it seems interesting. There's a lot of weird looking games, not unlike the thing Eruna had with her at the party just... bigger. But then she looked more closely and whatever peace she'd found was tested with a view of a machine with pictures of the group back home on it.]
...I'd ask if they were joking, but it's a little late for that, isn't it?
[She laughs bitterly but... pokes at the machine anyway. The first thing she says.]
I was right. The Shepherd is a total idiot.
[...no. No it didn't make her smile! You definitely imagined that.]
Wednesday - Movies
[Best check out some of the other new locations. A theater... another thing she's unfamiliar with. Home really didn't prepare her for anything except deadly black smoke, huh? Well there are snacks so that's one thing-- she'll happily take part in some popcorn.
...you might need to tell her that's not the real draw here. Come watch a crazy movie with her?]

Miach will spend all day in this building, combing through it from top to bottom. She's specifically looking around for any chemistry equipment she might be able to find as well as any books.
Ah yes, books.
If you're around the school today, you'll probably notice Miach stacking piles of them in the hallway. She is absolutely intending to take all of these home!
Midday you can find her on the school roof eating a large bag of popcorn for lunch while looking over the own. ]
It's strange to have all the time in the world for this...
Tuesday - Park
[ Most of the day, Miach is around in the park. She's got a history lecture book from the school with her and spends a lot of time just sitting on a bench reading. When someone passes her, she'll secretly pay close attention whether or not they seem to take note of her.
Other times she'll be on the swings or standing on to of the slides. If you find her while she's on any of the park toys, she may call out to you: ]
Did you know that in the future they'll classify parks built like this as a danger? Why do you think that is?
Wednesday - movie theater
[ If you happen to be at the movies, you may see Miach in the foyer, holding a pamphlet that displays movie ratings and warnings - she's... kind of dancing around with it, laughing a little. Yeah. ]
All week - north apartments
[ Given Miach still lives in the apartments and her door doesn't exactly lock, you could technically gatecrash here. Or just pay her a normal visit. ]
Tuesday evening - park
Ah... You're from the future, huh? [He'll say this a lot more casually than one might expect. He's done a bit of time traveling himself, so it isn't too big of a deal to him.] You're probably from a lot farther ahead than a lot of us here, because that doesn't seem like something that's going to be in place anytime soon, but...
[He shrugs a little with a smile.] I can think of a few reasons that might be, but I'll just ask. Why are they a danger?

So anybody want to start guessing what happens next week? Fav brings out the next one of his fucked up little friends? Maybe the insects turn into a giant monster or some other bullshit? That sounds like the kind of fucked up shit that'll happen.
[He's still being his usual moody self, but not as loud as he's been before. Two people just died. It's nothing new for him, but that whole mess is definitely more than enough to take the wind out of anyone's sails.
So having vented his dislike of everything to the universe, he'll just angirly sulk in the corner of the lobby. That'll work. Probably.]
[Wednesday]
[Today, Kaine can be found at the theater, looking through the movies with a disgusted look on his face.]
...I thought the TVs playing all that cutesy shit was bad, but this is worse. Definitely worse.
[He hasn't seen movies this bad outside of that stupid channel Aracely always wants to watch. The one with the shark...octopus...thing.]
Does anyone actually like these things? But like actually like them, not like them for how fucking bad they were.
[And just in case it needed further information, he points over at a movie poster.]
Look, you can even see the wires on the poster. Christ.
monday, i have no idea why she's intent on bullying him but it probably means she likes him
[Her voice sounds neither aggressive nor threatening. Maybe it's time for Kaine to throw another chair to get some of his anger out.
She stands and wanders away from the Kyuubey-crowding crowd, hands clasped behind her back.]
Are you going to stay here? The circus is over.

[Dahlia can be found all around the newer parts of Town A that have opened up, building on the map she has sketched out, and generally familiarizing herself with the area.]
wednesday - arcade
[She's not very interested in video games, but she is interested in knowing what exactly it is that the people of town A appear to be crowding over. ...She hasn't actually worked out that there are copies of Ace Attorney available to play. Awkward.]
wednesday; presumably later in the day
She looks at the bright, bubbly game chassis, taking in the designs of the dresses, the music, understanding latently a few seconds before she recognizes it.]
Those girls...
So it is true. [That's all she needs to see. She backs out of the crowd again, eyes falling instead on Dahlia's recognizable, dolled-up frame.]

[Eliza can be found sitting in front of the television, watching the rest of the Madoka anime. She'll probably be teary-eyed for most of it, occasionally glancing at a photo on her phone and at the conclusion is sobbing outright.]
Wh-why did that have to happen? She saved the world, but at what cost?
Wednesday morning
[Eliza is at the arcade, and has gravitated over to the Dangan Ronpa cabinet. She ends up leaning against it on her elbows as the rather long introduction plays, staring a little suspiciously at Monobear's appearance.]
...is Fav based on that?
[She relaxes a bit as things go to somewhat more normal, until the first body is found. Her hands end up shaking throughout the whole trial, and she barely manages to get through it. The execution is too much, and she ends up backing away from the cabinet.]
Wh-why would he have this kind of game here? To make things worse for us...? [She's tearing up.] Self-defense shouldn't count... [She knows enough about law to get that.]
[After a bit more sniffling, she leaves the machine where it is and walks around some more, before locating a cabinet with...her face on it? She starts up the game out of curiosity, and finds it matches her journey quite a bit-she gets a Tepig instead of a Snivy as a starter; defeats, heals, and recruits a Pidgey; captures a Vulpix with help from a Diglett she then recruits; enters a forest where she fights a giant Carnivine and saves a kid from a swamp Sudowoodo; recruits a Deerling; and challenges the Rose Town gym. The game seems to be designed more like an RPG with individual party members than a Pokemon game, with various dialogue options during break time to influence the opinions of Eliza's Pokemon towards her. She winces at seeing some of the harsher ones that she had picked before.]
...how do they know so much about what happened?
wednesday
[She watches Eliza play Pokémon.] Is this based off your life? There's one based off mine, too. They have it all-- the events that happened, words exchanged in secrecy and intimacy in the dead of night, words not meant for anyone else's ears... and yet, it's right here, in a game made by our captors.
They must know much more than we've given them credit for from the very beginning.
[She feels stalked. And... afraid for everyone back home, too.]

[Everything on this side of the town seems in much better shape. One marvels a little at the discrepancy by the time she gets back to the middle school. This time, instead of taking an interest in library books or classrooms, she sticks to the first floor.
Drawn to the office, she can be found rifling through the mostly-empty room, flipping through any records she finds, though the pickings seem to be slim.]
I suppose it's barely a real place as is, anyway.
[If not there, she's probably in the gym a little later, checking up the baseball bats and other equipment.]
Tuesday night;
[Late at night, One's in the park, sitting on one of the benches and eating for once. Her expression is troubled, and there's some...guilt?...every time she pulls another snack from her bag. She seems, however, to have fallen into the routine anyone who's devoured an entire bag of potato chips in one night will recognize well, almost automatically compelled to reach back into the back again and again. It seems excruciating.
If she's not guiltily sneaking snacks, she's examining the flowerbeds and the soil everything's growing in. After a moment, she plucks around half a dozen or so, collecting them in one hand.]
Wednesday morning;
[It's just a bit past dawn, give or take. As one of the two remaining apartment complex inhabitants, it's important for her to understand where this impurity is manifesting.
One keeps her distance (in this, at least, she's willing to heed the warnings), but she can be found lapping the northern apartment complex, inside and out. Sometimes she'll stand in one place for a while, staring at some part of the ruined city, and chuckle a little wistfully.]
Wednesday Afternoon AKA "Who Let Edna Have These Items?"
Guess who's checking out her new items?
Do you know who cannot play the guitar? This girl. Who is trying? This girl. At least she seems to be testing it gently, despite holding it rather awkwardly. The sounds it makes under her control however are-- not so gentle.
...
But that's a lot better than if you come later to her reading passages out of the Fan Club Book. Because with an audience, there's absolutely no telling if she's reading aloud true passages or just saying something embarrassing completely on purpose.]
Number one wife material? Our Tamamo no Mae of course! You'll never find anyone with more warmth and personality. If that doesn't light a fire in your heart-- her cooking will!
Quiche, tarts, delicious meats... is there anything our Tamamo can't do? ♡ Trick question! Of course there isn't.

[It took her a while to figure out the controls... but it looks like Recette managed to beat her game. It's not that hard a connection to make, considering the logo proclaiming Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale that is emblazoned on the side of the arcade machine]
Oh! I got a high score!
[You can find her in there doing replays a lot. It's nice to see her friends, even if it gets repetitive after a while.]
Middle School- All week
[Recette can be found reading in here when she has time!... or napping on a desk. Maybe both?]
Arcade- All week
[Recette can be found trying out all the games she can, only avoiding the ones that have her fellow magical girls and boys faces on them. She has trouble with any ones that require a lot of thinking, and is abysmal at any shoot em ups.]
Aah! I lost again! Darn it.
[It appears the game she's playing now is a multiplayer one.]

Monday
[Most of Szayel's Monday is spent investigating the new areas that suddenly appeared in town. He seems to be most interested in the middle school, wandering the halls and investigating the classrooms for anything particularly interesting. He's hoping that even a primitive human school would have some science equipment.
As evening approaches, he can be found at the park, seated on one of the benches and admiring the flowers as he jots things down in a notebook. Just what is he writing about...?]
Wednesday
[Having absolutely no interest in video games, Szayel didn't really plan to revisit the arcade after doing a cursory investigation. But after Edna's discovery of a key, he has decided to give the place a closer look.
While he doesn't find any keys or anything of much importance at all in the grand scheme of things, he does find a rather peculiar game... He wondered if those posts on the network were just bullshitting those who hadn't done much looking around in the arcade, but no. They...were actually serious.
And that is how Szayel ends up playing a video game. Because he gets to do shit like this in it. From the way he's chuckling to himself, he seems to be having a good time. It's so. Satisfying.
Maybe there is some merit to these sort of time wasters after all.]
Throughout the Week
[At the times he's not participating in tasks or playing a dumb game, Szayel can be found examining the impurity in the apartment complexes, jotting down notes about that weird stuff as well. It's a good idea to document its spread...if it actually does end up doing so as the weeks go by.]

Endgame spoilers for SDR2 and early spoilers for DR3, cw: nausea and violent imagery
[Nanami can be found in the arcade throughout the whole week - not just during the regular day time, but she will actually be moving in to the arcade. Pillows and blankets and all, because having games around her is Nanami’s only hope of coping with this situation. There’s a short period of time in the late afternoon of Monday that you might catch her gathering as much food as she can reasonably carry, but that will be the last she’s seen outside of the arcade for a while.
For roughly her first hour there or so, Nanami will try out several of the different games available to her, mostly in order to see what she’ll settle in with for the evening. Several of them are vaguely familiar for a few odd reasons, but she doesn’t pay it much mind. Being here reminds Nanami of being in the Game Center with Hinata, and it makes her feel a little more at ease to be surrounded by her element once more. Eventually, right before night falls, Nanami comes across a game called Dangan Ronpa. Like with all the others, she gives it a try. But it is nothing like the others at all.
Nanami rapidly is surprised by the fact that the setting is Hope’s Peak Academy, and but then becomes unsettled by the fact that the class shown - which is one number ahead of hers, these would be her prospective underclassmen if they were real - is being forced to murder one another. But she’s still a gamer at heart, and plays through the game that rapidly becomes more unsettling the more she sees of it. It’s essentially a visual novel and so it doesn’t require too much action, except at the end of the trials, so it’s easy for her to take breaks to eat and sleep as necessary (not that she does much of the latter, but that’s normal). It takes a while, but she finishes it the next night. Her relief is short-lived, because when she goes hunting for games again, she finds a second installment. “Super Dangan Ronpa 2”...
She starts it. And there’s no word for the feeling that strikes through her heart when she sees that the protagonist is Hinata, who has had his memories wiped. Doesn’t remember that he’s a Reserve Course student and is not part of the Main Course like he seems to believe.
Knowing Hinata, this is the cruelest joke she’s ever seen.
But it makes her feel a little strange, seeing his thoughts and feelings about things. It’s only a game, of course it’s only a game, but Nanami’s stomach still twists at the thought that she’s viewing something private and that should only belong to him… Other than that, though, there’s a distinct feeling of warmth as she watches him interact with her class, delight in the way she watches Komaeda be at such ease in his presence and not ostracized like he so often is. Nanami sees how they open up to him, even in just their first interactions, and makes her wonder if she should try to introduce them to Hinata when she gets home. Maybe it would be good for both him and them.
It leads her into a false sense of security, And makes her forget just what kind of game she’s playing.
There are no words that can describe the horror she feels as she progresses through the game for the next several hours. Watches as the classmates she loves kill and be killed by each other. Bile burns at the back of her throat with every body discovery, every execution. Her heart breaks away, piece by piece as the worst parts of her most precious people unravel in front of her eyes. The five hours of sleep she catches are fraught with nightmares where she is in the place of her classmates - she is stabbed through the stomach, she is boiled in frying oil, her skull is cracked from behind, she is sliced to death with a mob of swords, she is strangled with a cord, her thoat is slit, she is she is she is-
Nanami wakes with a short scream of Hinata’s name. Only spends a moment to wake herself up, because she has to find out the end today.
She pushes and pushes and pushes - until the truth starts to unfold. Hinata finds out he is a Reserve Course Student. Komaeda snaps in a way that confuses her but she also understands, strangely. Nanami feels numb as “her” role is revealed and she watches Hinata rapidly break to pieces. Piecce by piece, she watches him crack and shatter as she is sent to die. Doing her own free time events, even if they didn’t completely seem completely like her, makes it all so much worse. When the time comes, the gamer in Nanami appreciates her own execution in an almost bitter way, but it fades when she reads his thoughts after she has died.]
Stop… [The word comes out with a cracked voice. It’s not for her own sake but because she can’t bear to read anymore of his pain.] Stop it… [The breath is sawing hard through her chest.
The reveal eventually comes that this is a game within a game, but Nanami can’t even be surprised. Can barely even care when all she can think about is how much pain Hinata is in. It’s all she can think about, her mind completely centered in on it.
The last trial finally comes. And this time when Hinata breaks, she breaks right along with him, the litany of “stop” spilling from her mouth without any awareness at all..]
Stop it, stop it, stop it- [Fingers shaking on the buttons, hearing Hinata scream is the thing that finally makes her snap.] -stop it stop it you’re hurting him-!
[Her voice echoes loud in the gaming center. Just her and the broken shards of her heart, wedged into the worst video game she’s ever played. Nanami is numb, numb, numb as she watches herself return on the screen. A deus ex machina to save them. To save Hinata. The numbness spreads as she listens to hersellf repeat things she’s said to him before, almost word for word.
Like someone had watched her life and made the worst possible thing to hurt her.
Finally, Nanami will finish late Thurday night. Her head is bowed, unwatching as the credits roll to a theme that sounds like Komaeda is singing.
And when it finally ends, Nanami drops to her knees and screams into her hands.]
let's go with thursday
Chiaki-chan, are you alright? [ That question has the most obvious of answers and she's asking it regardless. ] Maybe you should step away from the console for the time being... and play something else. Anything else.
Or just do something that's. Not this.
[ Zange is trying her best to be the crowning achievement of calm, although she's not sure if she's the right person for the job, here. ]
