Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Thursday, Week 2

But don't worry, with the new candy count increase, things should be a lot easier, right? What could possibly go wrong?

This is the task mingle for week two, which covers Monday (3/27) to Thursday (3/30). When posting toplevels, please specify the time. If you plan on having any private conversations, please notify us in the link given below.

I don't think it's too strange, but the origins came from religion rather than wordplay.
telecosmetic: (hmm...)

If it's from religion, wouldn't 487 or 491 make more sense?

[A pause]

Oh right...you probably don't have Pokemon in your world either, right?

... I don't. Sorry.
telecosmetic: (staring)

Oh, well, they're a sort of creature from my world. A lot of them have powers over elements like fire, grass, or air. And some of them are known as Legendary Pokemon, which are much more powerful. The most commonly known numbering system has Giratina as the 487th Pokemon and Darkrai as the 491st, and they're both Pokemon that have been considered to represent the Devil in some religions.

I see... I wonder if there's a reason behind why they're thought as the devil, though.

[Eliza smiles, sounding pretty excited to be explaining about Pokemon mythology.] Well, Giratina supposedly dwells in the Distortion World, which is a twisted version of reality that can apparently drive people crazy. Some older texts apparently treat it as being the same as hell. Darkrai is considered to bring nightmares, which some religions see as being caused by the Devil.

I see... I wonder why, exactly, it can drive people crazy, though.
telecosmetic: (thinking)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-31 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[Eliza shrugs.] I've never seen it myself, so I wouldn't know.

I see... well, I've never seen hell myself, but that's because I'm a goddess.
telecosmetic: (hmm...)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-03-31 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
...a goddess? What do you have power over, then? [She sounds genuinely curious, not mocking or anything.]

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-04-01 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
I am one of the two incarnations of Kannagi-sama, who is the goddess of bonds.
telecosmetic: (blushing)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-04-01 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Like...the myth about the red string of fate?
crossingout: (pic#11093435)

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-04-01 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Something similar to that, yes. But with less romantic implications.
telecosmetic: (hmm...)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-04-01 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
So...like, um, a pink string of friendship?
crossingout: (pic#11093417)

[personal profile] crossingout 2017-04-01 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. Not all bonds lead to friendship.
telecosmetic: (smile)

[personal profile] telecosmetic 2017-04-01 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, like rivals, right? [She's from Poke-world, she knows all about those.]
