Today is decisively different from yesterday; while music wakes up everyone, they're not immediately brought to the trial area. Not yet.

"Today, we will start off with room searches, pon. All of the suspects' rooms are now open, pon. Today is the last day for the trial of Eliza Owens, pon. So make sure you vote carefully. Abstaining is not allowed this week."

Access to voting on their magical phones is now available, along with a warning for characters to vote, as it closes at 8 PM.

And see, this is just one of the things that separates useless apes like Zack from classy men like Szayelapporo. She greatly approves.

She supposes she'll start with the table and closet See what kind of things, if any, he keeps in this beautiful room of his.]

[Searching Szayel's closet doesn't reveal much. There are a few extra towels in there and any other items provided by the inn itself, but nothing unique.

On the table though, Seraphina will find a notebook with a few pens and pencils neatly placed beside it. They can be recognized as having originated from the middle school.

[As expected. Everything appears as it should be.

But a notebook? Well she's absolutely all about prying. It's the demon way.

...Seraphina will absolutely make herself comfortable lounging on his bed while she flips through that.

Fear not. She will absolutely leave everything as good as, if not better, than she found it when she's done.]

[Unfortunately, unless Seraphina is interested in scientific observations, this notebook is going to be incredibly dry. It seems to be the start of an ongoing investigation of the impurity, which Szayel talked about doing in his alibi. There are descriptions of the impurity itself along with some known facts that Kyuubey bothered to give at that announcement meeting, as well as some basic hypotheses on its existence.

Simply put, it's not exactly helpful for the trial itself, but it does prove he was doing what he said he was doing on Thursday. The entries are dated and there is a date for Thursday.]

[Once Zack is done checking the bathroom, he's gonna wander to where Seraphina is and look over her shoulder.]

It was his detailed analysis on the impurity that appeared in the town as well as the claims of that ugly white mascot creature that appeared this week.

Naturally it was last updated on Thursday.

[Naturally according to who, exactly? Only you Seraphina.]

He was very intent on discovering the true nature of those nasty things that showed up in town. It's all very scientific and on point.

[...at least she assumes so.]

[Alibi indeed. At the very least it proves to be the sort of thing you can't just throw together to protect yourself. It's very thorough. It's about as good as anything she could have expected out of a murder investigation. Science may not be her thing but she does love a useful man.

She puts it back and pulls herself out of bed-- straightening it up again before double checking the room to make sure there are no nooks and crannies she missed.

Hate it as she might she'll look at the trash just to make sure there's nothing significant in there.]

[There are a few empty water bottles and some packages of the less-unhealthy snacks in the trash, but nothing damning.

Since Seraphina was on his bed though, it might be worth checking that out a little more closely. Specifically, she might have noticed something shuffling while straightening it out...]

[...well then. She can remake it later. Let's just take a closer look at that and see what that was, shall we...]

[There's a second notebook under the mattress. Y-Yay for more reading...

[...well she can't say she's surprised, even if she had hoped for something a little more... exciting.

Might as well get comfortable on the bed again if she has to do more reading.

[As long as you just stand there and don't get in her way, she will probably allow you to exist in the same space.

But don't you even think about trying to get on the bed too. She claimed it first.]

Okay, I'm not that terrible.

But since it was well-hidden, it's probably a bit more personal, right? And that seems to be the case, considering it details his observations about the situation itself. It's written a bit more loosely and informally. While he might have shared his impurity notes with others, this seems to be something he wouldn't necessarily let others look through.

There are also opinions of various participants. Most notably, he doesn't seem to think very highly of Renji (whom he seems to personally know), Kaine, Zack and Zange. Opinions of Eliza, Tamamo and Recette are very mixed.

[...it absolutely looks that way. Interesting. Now this is more her style of reading! Although it could do with a few embellishments. A little romance, some drama--

Recette's name being there is plot twist enough she supposes. It'll have to do.

The important thing is that Zack's name is where it belongs.

Even so, she's going to read it to the end-- just for lack of anything better to be doing. It's not like she's supposed to be looking for signs of a murderer or anything...]

[As for the rest of the participants, many don't receive significant ratings, and Beyond Birthday's name is simply crossed out, probably because he was the culprit of the last murder. Miach, Dia, Dahlia and One receive "acceptable" ratings, though Dia's name is also crossed out and "Despite walking a very thin line." is written beside One's rating.

That's pretty much everything of note in the book, and aside from those two things, there isn't anything left to find in his room. His only other personal belonging remains at his hip, after all.]

[Good enough for her! Besides... she can't waste too much time. Not with idiot looking to dig through everything with wild abandon over there.]

[... You do that, Zack's gonna start searching all the cabinets and drawers for anything of note. Don't guarantee he'll put everything back.]

Zack's not going to find anything particularly exciting in those locations either. Pretty much anything of note has been found.]

[When she's done-- and she hurries-- she goes to supervise this idiot before he does anything stupid.]

I don't know what you're looking for. There's not much point. You're not going to find anything.

[She remembers now-- and she's fairly certain of the conclusion she's come to.]

If he was going to target anyone, it wasn't going to be you.

When I first me him we discussed problematic individuals. And then in that second notebook, it pretty much proves the same thing. If he was going to target anyone it would have been that red-haired idiot Renji. Apparently they already had some bad blood.

Wouldn't call Renji an idiot, per se, but if they have some sort of rivalry...
