Today is decisively different from yesterday; while music wakes up everyone, they're not immediately brought to the trial area. Not yet.

"Today, we will start off with room searches, pon. All of the suspects' rooms are now open, pon. Today is the last day for the trial of Eliza Owens, pon. So make sure you vote carefully. Abstaining is not allowed this week."

Access to voting on their magical phones is now available, along with a warning for characters to vote, as it closes at 8 PM.

AUTOPSY REPORT & BODY INVESTIGATION

Autopsy Report - Eliza Owens

Cause of Death: Blood loss caused by deep cut to the throat.
Body Discovery: Approximately at 10 AM, Friday
Time of Death: Estimated at around 10 - 11 PM Thursday
Condition of Body: Body is completely drenched with water from the river. There is a long, diagonal cut to the left side of the throat. Slight bruising to the right shoulder.
Condition of Scene: Found face first in the lake, next to the naginata.

If anybody wishes to investigate the body, Fav's brought it down in pristine condition, along with pictures of the crime scene as it was during the discovery. How convenient.

There is now a table where characters may leave their evidence, along with any notes where they found it, etcetera. Feel free to utilize this top level to reinvestigate any pieces of evidence that was found by the other characters.

On Tamamo no Mae's suggestion, I've taken a look at the scratches on the hallway walls.

It appears that they feasibly could have been made by the naginata, the likely murder weapon.

[Meanwhile, Dahlia will just go up to the table of evidence to examine the naginata itself.

How long is the blade and roughly speaking is it heavy enough that a girl of Eliza's frame (Dahlia's using herself as a rough estimate here since they're of similar build according to the profiles) would need to be transformed to use it effectively, or could you use it with one hand?]

Room Searches today will start off bright and early, so get to it! This is also your one and only chance to reinvestigate the evidence from the second floor halls physically, so don't waste it. Make sure you label your top levels with the character name you're searching for.

You might have to ask Fav to bring the evidence up, since he didn't do that.

[She guesses she'll take a look in here too. If he was doing what he said he was, it should be fairly easy to tell right? So let's see if any signs of alcohol are really here for starters.]

[Edna helped with this last time, so she decides to pitch in again. It shouldn't be too difficult anyway. One's room she chooses this time because-- last time she investigated with the murderer. You have to be thorough.

Not that she thinks she did it. So she'll just casually take a look around the room.]

Dahlia's Room

[Edna is the poster child for not underestimating cute looking people. So she'll make sure to check Dahlia's first. Let's just give that a good look around. What does she see at a glance?]

WALL SCRATCHES

[While Edna's off taking a look at her apartment, One will be checking the naginata against the wall scratches as per Tamamo's interest.

She'll also have her camera at the ready for comparisons and verification, since, of course, her life is on the line here. Someone else is welcome to come and supervise if they're worried about tampering.

After figuring out how to hold the naginata in a way that lines it up with a set of scratches, what's the verdict? How are things looking over here?]

SERAPHINA'S RE-CAP OF EVENTS

Alright, let's get everything straight before we start again.

According to Eliza's diary, she was patrolling the hallway because she was worried another murder would occur. Assuming she was prepared to guard others from a potential attack, I assume she brought something to defend herself with so she wouldn't end up their victim instead... not that it worked out for her.

There was a large pool of blood right at Zack's door. The trail went downstairs into the lobby and back outside; where the killer went through the park and the river to dispose of Eliza Owen's body. Along the way she dropped her little voice changing tie which was set to imitate that idiot Zack's voice. In the river with her body there was a naginata. My guess is that it belonged to Eliza, our self-appointed hall monitor.

When we did the autopsy, her body only had two significant wounds. Some bruising to her shoulder and a deep slash to her throat. The naginata matched the cut made on her neck.

I suggest we look very carefully at Dahlia, One and Micah. After all-- Kaine's alibi was corroborated by the beer cans in his room and Szayelapporo's room contained notes and evidence in his defense as well.

Can you guarantee the beer was drunk that night though? A few cans seem very flimsy as an alibi.

The deep slash to the throat was also on her left side, whole the bruising was on her right side keep that in mind.

LOOSE THREADS FROM YESTERDAY'S TRIAL

Thank you, Seraphina. [Said a bit flatly given the shadow of suspicion that recap is throwing on the three armchair philosophers.] I believe there are some points left over from our discussion yesterday.

First, the placement of Eliza's phone is still confusing. Recette asked why the killer didn't destroy it or leave it on Eliza's body. I wondered if they may have needed to retrieve something from the middle school, but that's conjecture.

Then there's the motive. Even if it's not true, we should consider if the killer was acting on the promise of a wish. Eliza herself wrote that a wish is a "really big" thing.

Szayelaporro, I believe our conversation remains unfinished, too. But that's another matter. [That can continue in a moment, probably in a comment below this one.]

She is not wrong. However, I highly doubt our suspects will answer honestly regarding what wishes they may or may not have had.

Okay... um... we kinda sorta know how it happened now, but... We don't really have a clear suspect yet.

[She fiddles her fingers together nervously.]

So, maybe we should try to start ruling people out? Or something? Like reasons that they couldn't have done it.

If I remember correctly, Zack argued that Micah was against this game for her own reasons. I also personally believe Szayelapporo did not commit this crime. He was very busy studying the black stuff that appeared. And Zack wasn't the person he would have killed either.

Perhaps the culprit simply grabbed Eliza's phone by accident? In the struggle, they lost theirs as they tossed her into the river, and assumed the one by their feet was their own... until they tried to transform, and couldn't.

Perhaps I'm going on a wild goose chase, but can we ask everyone to transform?

Okay, so you're saying whoever did it lost their phone? Because I don't think I need to put on a dress to prove I didn't because I've got mine.

Okay um... Miss One? What time did you see Zack practicing with his weapon like you said in your alibi. Evening isn't really specific enough. I know both you and Miach saw him, but i'd like to have a time to compare to hers.

Oh and um... Why did you come back to the Inn friday morning? It seems kinda strange since you live at the apartments.

I was there at the same time as Miach because I saw her. We didn't leave at precisely the same time, I didn't stick around after she left. I walked back to my apartment between 9:00 and 9:30.

I came back to bathe, but was prevented from doing so by everything that happened. The plumbing in my apartment... [she grimaces] leaks, so I will rarely use the shower there. I last used my inn shower on Thursday morning. [The bad pipes would actually have been visible doing her room search but we didn't get there.]

I am sure Edna saw my bathroom toiletries when she was in there.
