☆ WEEK TWO ( TRIAL - DAY TWO )

Trial Day #2
Sunday, Week 2

Victim

Suspects

Today is decisively different from yesterday; while music wakes up everyone, they're not immediately brought to the trial area. Not yet.

"Today, we will start off with room searches, pon. All of the suspects' rooms are now open, pon. Today is the last day for the trial of Eliza Owens, pon. So make sure you vote carefully. Abstaining is not allowed this week."

Access to voting on their magical phones is now available, along with a warning for characters to vote, as it closes at 8 PM.

PRETEND I DIDN'T MISS THIS COMMENT OH MY GOD

Thank you. Allow me to make a few comments on this matter.

One, we should consider that, if we operate under the theory that the naginata caused the scratches, they may have been made by Eliza herself if a struggle arose from this confrontation. She had no training with these sorts of weapons and told me as much herself.

Two, it might be worth it to work out why this happened in front of Zack's room at all. I understand that the culprit may have been attempting to get at Zack and she used his voice with her device to distract them, but shouldn't that have lured them away from his room? Or did she simply use that moment of confusion to lunge at them?

Either she attacked in the moment of confusion... or the culprit did. If they were actually set on killing Zack, then they must have believed their target to be behind them.

Maybe that was also the incident in which Eliza was thrown against the wall.

Indeed, that could be the case.

[...]

Though considering the lack of blood on the walls itself, from what I have heard of the scene at least, I don't believe the killing blow would have come at that moment. The culprit may have used that moment to force the naginata from her hands.

What about this theory, then: the reason why there's no blood on the walls was because when Eliza-chan's neck was cut, the naginata acted as a plug to keep the blood from spilling.

Hm. That is a fair hypothesis. It is shaped in such a way to allow that. But it very obviously did end up spilling, what with that large pool of blood.

But it spilled on Zack-kun's side of the hall, didn't it? Where she hit the wall was the opposite side, as that side of the wall had the dent in it.

Do you think that would require finesse on the attacker's part, even if the final wound was ragged?

Someone without any experience would be more likely to cause bloodshed immediately.

It's possible, I suppose... but I wouldn't know if the killer has experience or not.

[Her exhale is audible; she dislikes knowing that they don't have the information they need to draw that conclusion, but...]

Still, that's further than we were when we began. It's something.
