Today is decisively different from yesterday; while music wakes up everyone, they're not immediately brought to the trial area. Not yet.

"Today, we will start off with room searches, pon. All of the suspects' rooms are now open, pon. Today is the last day for the trial of Eliza Owens, pon. So make sure you vote carefully. Abstaining is not allowed this week."

Is there something strange about that? Yes. He had detailed notes in his room sitting out on his desk. About the black things and a few other topics of interest and each was dated. He has been updating them regularly. I do not think that is something he forged.
