Nanami and I met shortly before 11:30 that night. Zack arrived just a short minute after. He followed her to our meeting after all.

That's because she wasn't. As the logs suggest I called her there of her own free will. But it was dark-- I hadn't turned the light on in the room yet when he got there. So he probably just couldn't see well. Makes sense, seeing as he mistook her for Szayelapporo.

I was investigating something regarding the Dollhouse and our hostages. It seemed strange that there were-- that I could find-- no dolls of the people who were taken. Yet both the dolls and the hostages were dressed up similarly. But then I thought I saw one that looked similar to Nanami's hostage-- but I hadn't looked very closely. So I wanted her to confirm that.

Someone had to have used some power to heal us-- there's no other way I would have walked out of there alive.

[ If everything had gone according to plan, she means. Miach is smiling but her voice is a little cooler than normal even. ]

So... the most obvious first step to take from here is to figure out who could have healed the victims. If anyone has any knowledge about healing abilities, this would be the moment to share them.

[ Or why Seraphina and Zack would coordinate lies like that, but she still doesn't believe Zack is lying. ]

[She nods.] That would be a logical place to start. As skeptical as I am about the story, there does seem to be some evidence suggesting it's true. Miss Nanami's clothes were torn in places, but there weren't any injuries that I could see underneath.

[A beat.] Though it wouldn't take much effort to come up with a story like that and deliberately cut her clothes that way to plant false evidence to support it. Of course that one assumes Zack and Miss Seraphina were working together all along.

[That eyebrow is remaining raised.]

Very well, Miss Seraphina.

[A beat.] Zack, what's your side df the story? If it truly was dark and you couldn't see anything, what made you think Miss Nanami had been tied up?

Everything Zack said about his reasoning in his testimony is consistent with what he's been telling me about himself from the first week on.

I'm not telling you not to pursue this angle, but I'm giving that information at least.

[ Maybe that's a question you should ask for the person herself. Nevertheless, they sure are keeping the door shut. It's possible to open it without it tearing, but you'll have to peel away the tape.

I'm not saying that they are or they aren't, but I should remind you that the person behind all this knows more about everyone than they should. Just suspend some form of disbelief that they could be behind this.
