Monday-Sunday, Week 4

Today is quiet. Surprisingly so. There's no wake up call for the longest time, and everything seems to be almost scarily quiet. At least, until 12 PM, where the familiar voice of a female whom everyone will recognize as M chimes in.

"Hello, everybody. No need to come to the lobby or anything today for the announcement; this week will be a no murder week. The first reason is due to the Easter holiday. The second reason being because there's something wrong with Fav and this town. Meaning, I'll need you all to help me. You don't want to die because the town fell out of the sky, would you? Anyway, the task is pretty simple: find various colored eggs throughout the town. Easy. Certain eggs give you notes, some give you candy, but what I'm looking for is a body. There are eggs with body parts scattered all over. The eggs are small, but they can contain items that are bigger than itself. If you collect the body parts and reassemble them, this town will be safe. For the time being. If you do succeed, the lobby will become a ballroom on Easter Sunday, and I will provide proper clothes, music, and food for you all. Oh, and I fixed Zack's mess, in the dollhouse. That is all. And don't bother trying to answer back. I won't respond."

Of course, after her words are said and done, everyone who is alive will notice the slight static in some of the buildings, almost unstable. Sometimes you'll even find your hand going through things, occasionally. Even more so if you're in your magical form. Also, to note: apparently the network is down, even though transforming works just fine.

["What do you mean what' is on the tip of Dahlia's tongue here, but she'll masterfully suppress that in favor of asking something slightly more productive. But the implication that Hajime doesn't know that his room got altered -- is that supposed to mean these rooms were changed by M after they died? Or is this just not Hinata at all? Hrm.

She writes:]

When I entered your room, it was set up in such a way that when a crystal was touched, podiums and a screen appeared from the floor and ceilings... and you had to use a laser pointer to play hangman. Was that not something you put in place to safeguard your notebook?

About the notebook itself, you talked about speaking to someone, but I couldn't make out your handwriting there. Who was it and what was it that you learned about despair?

[There's a moment where the snack stays still. It lifts, then sets back down. Finally when it seems like nothing will happen it moves from letter to letter.

'This game is more than just the players and the mastermind. Each game has more than those two roles.

Our rooms changing is news to me. I'll pass it to the others.']

[Right, okay that latter part almost makes sense. She can't really imagine how you'd get one of those rooms to do what Hinata's room was doing.]

When you say "Others," is that what you mean by people who aren't players and the mastermind? Or something else?

[Unwritten: and do you think it would kill you (more?) to be less vague and more specific. :|]

[Follow the bouncing snack as it hits each letter in turn to spell out more words.

'Former players. The executed and the victims of previous games of over a thousand years. Only ten left.']

Is that including the victims from this round?

[No. Ten from previous games.]

Why are there so few left? ...And if you can reveal that information, who are they?

[The snack pauses, shakes as if in warning at something then bounces from letter to letter.

I'm sorry I can't reveal names. It's against the rules. We're being drained of mana. When a ghost runs out they cease to exist.]

[Huh.]

Is there a reason then, that you were able to more directly interact with us this week? Your presence wasn't as prominent in the ealie weeks....

Also I ought to have asked sooner, but is there an easier method for you to communicate than this?

[Something that's less tedious that tapping a snack on letters. ....In her defense, she really didn't think Hinata was going to deal with this for as long as he has....]

['Enough keys were used to make things...easier. But you should be careful using more of them.

...Maybe. I can try. Hold up the notebook. It's mine so maybe this will work.']

[She holds the notebook up as instructed, waiting patiently for some kind of result. She'll even be generous and not say but let me guess, you won't be more specific about what's happening with the keys.]

[After a moment the pages of the notebook turn as if by an unseen hand to a blank page. Words appear in the same handwriting of the three entries.

Can you see this?]

Yes, I can.

[And then a moment later, she writes that down on a piece of paper as well, just in case he can't hear verbal replies.In addition, she writes: Can you hear me talking or can we only communicate through written word?]

[I can hear you and see what you write. Only part of me is in this notebook. I'm standing not far from you.]
