Today is quiet. Surprisingly so. There's no wake up call for the longest time, and everything seems to be almost scarily quiet. At least, until 12 PM, where the familiar voice of a female whom everyone will recognize as M chimes in.

"Hello, everybody. No need to come to the lobby or anything today for the announcement; this week will be a no murder week. The first reason is due to the Easter holiday. The second reason being because there's something wrong with Fav and this town. Meaning, I'll need you all to help me. You don't want to die because the town fell out of the sky, would you? Anyway, the task is pretty simple: find various colored eggs throughout the town. Easy. Certain eggs give you notes, some give you candy, but what I'm looking for is a body. There are eggs with body parts scattered all over. The eggs are small, but they can contain items that are bigger than itself. If you collect the body parts and reassemble them, this town will be safe. For the time being. If you do succeed, the lobby will become a ballroom on Easter Sunday, and I will provide proper clothes, music, and food for you all. Oh, and I fixed Zack's mess, in the dollhouse. That is all. And don't bother trying to answer back. I won't respond."

Of course, after her words are said and done, everyone who is alive will notice the slight static in some of the buildings, almost unstable. Sometimes you'll even find your hand going through things, occasionally. Even more so if you're in your magical form. Also, to note: apparently the network is down, even though transforming works just fine.

[He doesn't know if she'll still want to answer any questions he has, but... It's at least worth a try.]

Are... all of the ghosts capable of doing this, or is this something exclusive to you? Like some power that you have?

All the ghosts can possess their own items... given they've had practice. This is my laptop, so only I can possess it like this. But other ghosts can press the keys on the keyboard and move the trackpad around.

[He has to sigh a little at that.]

So everyone that's died the last few weeks... Unless we're somehow able to get a hold of any items they might've had, and even then, it would be pretty unlikely they'll be able to communicate with us like this. The weekly letters are still probably our best bet.

...Although. If any of the others wanted to type a message on the laptop for some reason, would they be able to?

[He isn't sure if they'd have need of that, but better to explore all possibilities.]

Is it because it's yours and you don't want the others tampering with it, or... is there another reason for that?

Ah... That makes sense, then. [Taiki rubs the back of his neck, feeling a little bad.] Sorry we have to talk through something that's important to you like this...

I'm grateful you're talking to us, though. I... never would've imagined that anyone would've been in this place for so long.

[Something in his chest twists when he thinks about it. So long trapped here, dead and away from the people from home that they care about...]

It's fine. [Her lips curve upwards, in a way that's apologetic.]

If it's the only way I can talk to other people, I don't mind too much. Besides... it doesn't change my situation, in the end.

Actually, in regards to your situation... Recette said that there might be a way to bring everyone back. Does that mean we can help you as well?

Well, that's what I told her. So yes.

[Taiki wants to grin and be excited, but caution makes him stop to think for a minute.] If we can bring everyone back it would be great, better than great, but... Are there any catches or penalties if we do so?

As far as I know... no, but I'm not one hundred percent sure on that one.

Ah... I guess the only thing we can do is try, then. Even if there's a penalty, the cost will be worth it if we can have everyone back again. [And finally, he smiles.] Besides... A thousand years is a long time. I think you and the others from before our group have been waiting for long enough.

Would the cost really be worth it, though... [That's the important part, here.] Well, I guess we have. It doesn't feel that way, though. Probably because I've forgotten so much.

[Some of the others cross his mind for a moment.] Maybe not everyone in our group would want to, thinking about it... I probably shouldn't speak for them, even if it's worth it to me. If there was a way for me to take on the burden of it without anyone else having to, though... That would be fine. [He shrugs a little sheepishly.] In any case, we still don't know about that, but I'll be ready to do whatever I can to help everyone when the time comes.

When we're able to bring you back to life, do you think... you'll be able to get your memories back? Or is this something permanent?

That depends on the price, doesn't it?

[The price for revival... might be too much for any one person to bear. But Inaba doesn't know what that price is, so she can't say much.]

And I don't know.

If there was a way for whatever it is to effect only me, then not really. [He does want to get back to everyone he cares about, but... If there's something he can do here, he'll do it.] But if it's more than just me... We'll figure something else out. Somehow.

But we'll keep searching and trying to find answers. We've already uncovered a lot lately, so maybe we'll even be able to find a way to restore your memories. It's worth a look, at least.

Even if it meant sacrificing yourself for the lives of others?

[Don't be Taichi, man. It's not worth it.]

Yeah... just. Be careful.
