Monday-Sunday, Week 4

Today is quiet. Surprisingly so. There's no wake up call for the longest time, and everything seems to be almost scarily quiet. At least, until 12 PM, where the familiar voice of a female whom everyone will recognize as M chimes in.

"Hello, everybody. No need to come to the lobby or anything today for the announcement; this week will be a no murder week. The first reason is due to the Easter holiday. The second reason being because there's something wrong with Fav and this town. Meaning, I'll need you all to help me. You don't want to die because the town fell out of the sky, would you? Anyway, the task is pretty simple: find various colored eggs throughout the town. Easy. Certain eggs give you notes, some give you candy, but what I'm looking for is a body. There are eggs with body parts scattered all over. The eggs are small, but they can contain items that are bigger than itself. If you collect the body parts and reassemble them, this town will be safe. For the time being. If you do succeed, the lobby will become a ballroom on Easter Sunday, and I will provide proper clothes, music, and food for you all. Oh, and I fixed Zack's mess, in the dollhouse. That is all. And don't bother trying to answer back. I won't respond."

Of course, after her words are said and done, everyone who is alive will notice the slight static in some of the buildings, almost unstable. Sometimes you'll even find your hand going through things, occasionally. Even more so if you're in your magical form. Also, to note: apparently the network is down, even though transforming works just fine.

[While Kaine is brooding pessimistically about the party, there are others who are having a good time. Kaine might notice one of those aforementioned "others" as he flies around the room. Actually, noticing him might be impossible to avoid soon because Staraptor is looking for a place to perch and Kaine being as tall as he is.... is looking like a mighty fine perch.

Dahlia herself picks up on this a moment late.]

Oh-!

[Oddly enough, he's not too bothered by it, other than just kind of staring because what is that thing on its head even.]

This one yours?

[...does everyone have freaky animals now? Is there an announcement he missed?]

A-ah, not exactly. I found this one and five others in one of the locked rooms upstairs, but I think the real owner might still be around as a ghost...

[She sighs audibly here.]

Staraptor, that's rude, please don't do that.

[theotherother]

..are they all, I don't know...weird?

[Not the best choice of words, but he is trying to go somewhere with this.]

[Have a disgruntled Staraptor noise, Kaine. There is nothing weird going on here here, ok. Staraptor is like a falcon, if falcons had magnificent hairdos, ok.]

They're not like your typical animals.

[She'll point out Pikachu and Buizel who are attempting to dance to Backstreet's Back, and just... lets that speak for itself.]

[He could've gone his whole life without seeing that and his expression says as much. Still...]

So do you think whoever had these, do you think they were from Eliza's world?

[hawthorned]

[Don't worry, Kaine. Dahlia understands.]

I'd guess so? But I'm not sure, it's possible that they come from similar worlds, too.

[A beat.] Truth be told, I hadn't gotten around to thinking too much about it...they've been keeping me a little preoccupied. Especially -

[Gible comes wandering over with cookie crumbs on the side of his face, and Dahlia immediately folds her arms across her chest in what looks like a learned reflex.]

That one.

[GIBLE! says the Gible. This is presumably a friendly greeting.]

What the fuck is that?!

[Kaine's greeting isn't anywhere near as friendly, mainly because god, what even is that thing? It's like a mouth with arms and legs, but mostly a mouth.]

[hawthorned]

[Good question, uh. Dahlia hesitates before answering, but Gible takes no time in answering in the most obvious way with a very defiant: GIBLE.]

...A shark, I think.

[Gible turns back to look at Dahlia and issues an annoyed noise. Staraptor seems to take these things as a sign to flap away. That's probably a good indicator of things to come....]

I can kind of see it...I guess.

[Sort of.]

Like if you took the world's weirdest shark, gave it arms and legs and let it run around.

[He is so glad these things don't exist in his world.]

[hawthorned]

[Gible turns back to Kaine, increasingly indignant about this situation!!]

I think you're offending him, Mr. Kaine.

[theotherother]

...so?

[Probably not the right thing to say.]

[hawthorned]

[Prince of diplomacy, as ever.]

Ah....he bites.

[A fact that Gible seems all too eager to demonstrate if Kaine doesn't step back from jumping Gibles....]

[He just sidesteps, being used to things trying to bite or claw at him. Or stab. Or shoot. Or throw lightning or some other crap like that. So Gible, if you want to eat the table behind him, go right ahead.]

Why am I not surprised?
