4 REMAIN

Four people left. There are finally four people left. It's the magic number that Fav gave to everyone to end the game. But the game is still going, as the final four awaken from their slumber in Town A. It's quiet, absurdly so. At least... at first.

"Four people remain," the voice comes out of the intercom, the voice of the one everyone knows as M at around 10 in the morning. "In regards to the killer, I have found them and captured them. They will not be killing anybody any longer. Now that there are four of you, I shall test you, for the final investigation and trial, to see if you are worthy of leaving. You will have to retake the trial you failed and continue with a trial to figure out the killer of those seven people and the truth of this place. The locations ahead of you have been opened, and I will not give you any false clues. You have until Saturday. You may also find new clues around the town as well if you look. Good luck."

And just as she's said, if anybody looks outside and goes far north, they'll find the impurity gone - not just there, but almost everywhere - replaced with brand new locations, just like most weeks prior.

The lack of interest we all have into each other is laughable, isn't it? There is something astoundingly genuine in how willing we are to be ignorant of each other's very nature. Of course, that's normal. Nobody can simply care about another for the soul reason that they exist.

None of you have looked at the profiles lately, have you? Too bad.

We might have liked to find out a little sooner that Zange seems to be fond of a certain Hakua.

Hakua may have a grave in the graveyard, but we know she's not dead. She was alive at the start of this, she is alive with us. Her grave is a farce and there is no record of her death.

So then, is there anything else we might want to know about this?

And? What exactly are you insinuating here?

I'm not insinuating anything. I am stating the fact that you've withheld important knowledge from us.

I have my reasons. After all, Hakua is very important to me, even if she might not think so. But since you caught me red handed, I suppose I could answer any questions in regards to her.

Let's start with the basics: who is she to you and where is she now?

A friend. As for the second question, who knows? I'm not her keeper.

And you expect me to believe you've never gone looking for your friend who is missing in this town of death?

I never said I didn't look for her.
You asked me where she is now and I said I don't know.

And you don't know why she's here either, I suppose.

Ohohohoho I suppose so. But if that's the case, I wouldn't take too much of what our dear Zange says to heart.

While we're on that, I always wondered too-- why she's never gone by her real name.

I didn't think Goddesses were the type to mingle with humans. If it were me-- [And thank god it isn't, honestly.] The only use I'd have for humans is as a sacrifice or a host.

[Why is sacrifice first choice... dammit Sera...]

I don't go by my real name because my ane-sama shares the same name as I do. It gets confusing, so I go by Zange while she goes by Nagi.

And as for why I mingle with humans, it's because I like them. Besides, the ones I'm closest to have high spiritual power. And as I am a goddess, I would never sacrifice another living being.

So humans can see you? You and your sister have your own physical forms as goddesses?

We do, actually.

Does she look anything like you? Is it something from a previous life or have you always been a goddess?

[She can't say she knows how a goddess is born, honestly.]

She was kidnapped during that motive several weeks ago and has light blue hair. I have been a goddess ever since I was born.

Host you say? Wasn't it Zange who tried to call Hakua with the kiss note?

Goddesses and gods are typically known as incorporeal beings, typically unseen by humans. So I wondered if she wouldn't need a body like that to reside in if she wanted to walk among normal people.

But it's just a guess, really. I can't say I've ever met a being like it before.
