Monday-Sunday, Week 4

Today is quiet. Surprisingly so. There's no wake up call for the longest time, and everything seems to be almost scarily quiet. At least, until 12 PM, where the familiar voice of a female whom everyone will recognize as M chimes in.

"Hello, everybody. No need to come to the lobby or anything today for the announcement; this week will be a no murder week. The first reason is due to the Easter holiday. The second reason being because there's something wrong with Fav and this town. Meaning, I'll need you all to help me. You don't want to die because the town fell out of the sky, would you? Anyway, the task is pretty simple: find various colored eggs throughout the town. Easy. Certain eggs give you notes, some give you candy, but what I'm looking for is a body. There are eggs with body parts scattered all over. The eggs are small, but they can contain items that are bigger than itself. If you collect the body parts and reassemble them, this town will be safe. For the time being. If you do succeed, the lobby will become a ballroom on Easter Sunday, and I will provide proper clothes, music, and food for you all. Oh, and I fixed Zack's mess, in the dollhouse. That is all. And don't bother trying to answer back. I won't respond."

Of course, after her words are said and done, everyone who is alive will notice the slight static in some of the buildings, almost unstable. Sometimes you'll even find your hand going through things, occasionally. Even more so if you're in your magical form. Also, to note: apparently the network is down, even though transforming works just fine.

While we're on the topic of things moving on their own, I suppose it's worth noting the marshmallow incident from last night as well.

[Szayel's tone is just saturated in bitterness, good lord. He definitely doesn't want to bring this up, but it's more useful to in the long run.]

[This is quite possibly the last combination of words she thought she'd hear from Szayel, and because she wasn't there at the afterparty and this potentially sounds hilarious, she's going to ask.]

The what incident, Mr. Granz?

You heard me perfectly clear, Dahlia.

[He knows it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it was legitimately A Thing.]

After the trial, I made an attempt to confront that idiot [a sharp glare is directed at Zack here] and was promptly assaulted with marshmallows. Not by anyone here, mind. They moved on their own and seemingly with a mission to deter me from going about my business.

[He draws his sword, more for the sake of the conversation but also because he never really did get to finish what he was doing...]

The more peculiar part of the entire fiasco was that whatever force was behind the marshmallow actually attempted to stop my blade with it.

[The only reason Dahlia 100% believes this incident really happened is because she doesn't think Szayel would make up a stupid lie just to make himself look the fool. But that said, any inclination, voluntary or involuntary she had of laughing more or less dies when he draws the sword. Not because she thinks he's threatening her, but because it's a freaking sword.]

Curious. The place usually does as much as it can to incite violence. Though I suppose it could be an anomaly, I wouldn't recommend a repeat performance.

[Don't laugh at his suffering, Dahlia...!]

That is why I find the entire thing rather confusing. I have to wonder if it was legitimately Fav or M behind it or something...else.

[Dahlia happens to think Szayel is one of the more tolerable ones, so she won't laugh. ....When he' around.]

Given the theme of this discussion, are you suggesting that it's the work of one of the dead from our original group?

[She'll consider that for a moment, but not too seriously.] It does sound like something Miss Eliza would do if she could, I suppose.

As much as I would prefer not to.

[It's an absurd line of reasoning to go down, but...]

Who else would defend that idiot, despite the fact that I had every right to have a strong word with him for what he revealed at the trial?

[Well, he can think of living people who would, but...Recette doesn't have telekinetic abilities, does she?]

[She's not going to ask since when did pointing swords at people got included in the concept of "having a strong word" but she's thinking it.]

There aren't too many promising candidates, no....

[A beat.]

It seems that you've made an unfortunate enemy if that's the case then, Mr. Granz.

[He wasn't going to do any stabbing!!

Maybe.]

It's simply another thing to keep in mind as I go about my business.

[The gears are definitely turning. He's working on a way to get around these forces...]

How would you combat a force like that? The only thing I can think of is something like an exorcism.

An exorcism.

[He repeats, tone absolutely incredulous. He is a spiritual being by default, so you know.]

Confronting it isn't absolutely necessary. Simply knowing the potential for it being present is an advantage on its own.

Just a suggestion.

[This was still objectively less silly than "I was assaulted by a marshmallow," good sir :|]

But I guess being harassed by the dead is more nuisance than hindrance anyway.

Well at least he'll get backed up on the marshmallow thing in due time.]

It has been a bit of both thus far, honestly. The "hindrance" aspect should be reduced after today, however.

[Zack just smirks for a second.]

[He can't make marshmallows float, but seeing them pelt Suzy like that was just too funny.]

[Hey Zack.

There are no marshmallows here now, so.

The sword is back out.]

Wipe that smirk off your face. Immediately.

[He doesn't plan to do something rash here either, as evidenced by his lack of transforming into his magical form to go along with drawing his blade. But he's definitely not finished with Zack.]

Seriously though, he does shoot a threatening glare at Eruna too.]

Do not go there with me. Not today.

[But for what it's worth, he doesn't seem to be making a move with the sword.]

[Eruna glares right back: she's not afraid of you, buddy!]

I'm serious! Threatening people at these meetings are not allowed! It just gives the mastermind what they want if we're fighting among ourselves here!

And you're simply going to ignore the fact that he quite literally confessed that he intended to kill me rather than Chiaki just the other day? [Not that he would've succeeded!! But Szayel doesn't say that.] I believe I have every right to be angry with him.

[When will he understand that the point is he doesn't need to be angry right this second.]

I'm not saying you can't be angry about that because yeah, that was really stupid of him and I'm still mad about that too! But threatening each other is still not allowed, so put away that sword!

[He's very clearly not pleased to be ordered around, but he's also not interested in wasting more of his energy on Eruna. So with another sour glare he will eventually withdraw his sword. For now, at least.]

[A snack flies at him but, gets stopped in mid-air.

A second attempt is made and stopped just like the first. This time, it's crushed and dropped.]

[Woah? Did anyone see food attempt to pelt Syzael again?]

[Nevermind. He's gonna assume that's what happens when people try to murder people this week and keep his mouth shut about it.]

[The first snack may have escaped Szayel's notice, but the second one getting crushed definitely catches his attention.]

Please tell me everyone here witnessed that.

[Someone other than himself, at least.]

[There's a pause, and then Eruna suddenly gasps]

What if it's our ghost friends?

[In which case, TAKE THAT ZACK WE WERE NOT WRONG ABOUT THEM BEING HERE???]
