☆ WEEK FOUR ( MINGLE )
Magical Girl Raising Project
Monday-Sunday, Week 4

13 REMAIN
Today is quiet. Surprisingly so. There's no wake up call for the longest time, and everything seems to be almost scarily quiet. At least, until 12 PM, where the familiar voice of a female whom everyone will recognize as M chimes in.
"Hello, everybody. No need to come to the lobby or anything today for the announcement; this week will be a no murder week. The first reason is due to the Easter holiday. The second reason being because there's something wrong with Fav and this town. Meaning, I'll need you all to help me. You don't want to die because the town fell out of the sky, would you? Anyway, the task is pretty simple: find various colored eggs throughout the town. Easy. Certain eggs give you notes, some give you candy, but what I'm looking for is a body. There are eggs with body parts scattered all over. The eggs are small, but they can contain items that are bigger than itself. If you collect the body parts and reassemble them, this town will be safe. For the time being. If you do succeed, the lobby will become a ballroom on Easter Sunday, and I will provide proper clothes, music, and food for you all. Oh, and I fixed Zack's mess, in the dollhouse. That is all. And don't bother trying to answer back. I won't respond."
Of course, after her words are said and done, everyone who is alive will notice the slight static in some of the buildings, almost unstable. Sometimes you'll even find your hand going through things, occasionally. Even more so if you're in your magical form. Also, to note: apparently the network is down, even though transforming works just fine.
This is the mingle post for week four, which covers Monday (4/10) to Sunday (4/16). This week is a breather week, as Sunday is Easter.

Prompt A - Food
[ Catch her at the food tables eating...... mostly white rice with only very little side-dishes. It's just a whole lot of white rice. She's very enthusiastic about this rice and might have some stuck on her face. ]
Prompt B - Dance
[ Miach likes dancing - you might have been able to tell by the way she liked to hop and spin in daily life or maybe you didn't know at all, but it's pretty obvious now. She's doing a lot of spinning around to the music on her own, following no set pattern, but at least barely going with the rhythm? She's on her tippy-toes a lot and she seems to be having a good time. Her personal showtime is restricted to a corner of the room though, she's... wallflowering in the most flashy way. ]
Prompt C - Murder Memories
[ Miach is somewhere in a corner, looking back and forth between her magical phone and the ballroom, seeming more sinisterly amused this time. If you come look over her shoulder, you'll see that she's looking at pictures of the corpses she photographed for earlier trials. ]
And yet, all is forgotten now....
((*ooc: I KNOW THE LINKED DRESS IS MADE FROM RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLES, but for the sake of this game assume it is shiny fabric instead. The cut is just very Miach-fitting and so is the shine, alright?))
C
[Well, she's Mia. She does things like that.]
[Zack will be curious about the pictures on her phone, then. Hope you don't mind him looking over your shoulder, pal.]
What're ya doing?
no subject
[ No worries there, she'll just shove the phone with it's gorey display over a bit so he can see clearly. ]
I was just musing on how funny it is for this merry party to even exist, given all that has happened. The human mind sure is resilient - ultimately, it is us who are still alive so we're going ahead without any more care than necessary.
That's survival.
I'm not blaming anyone for it, of course, it is just remarkable to look at.
no subject
Ugh...
Well, nobody here really set up any kind of party except that M bitch... And even then, she's trying to torment us! I mean, are you hearing this music?!
[They're playing Pon Pon Pon again.]
That song's been played four times in a row! Or they played it twice, and it's a stupid long song. I don't know much about fancy dress parties, but even I get that this is dumbass music to play at a ball.
no subject
One of the basics of humor theory is that we perceive as funny what is unfitting or unexpected. So the idea of setting up a formal dress party and then playing this is probably hilarious to her. Her sense of humor seems to be twisted but rather basic.
Though of course, this is also why humor is so closely linked to offense. What is funny is societally determined and in the old days, it often went on the cost of others. Seems we're the others now.

[He's more interested in the picture. Just Nanami and all the wrong wounds on her body.]
no subject
How'd she look when you did it?
no subject
You see all the cuts in her clothing? There should be gaping blade wounds there. Like, so deep she'd pretty much be cut in half.
You'd probably have a fun time trying to identify her mangled corpse.
[What can we say? He's honest.]
no subject
More fun than with what Tamamo did to her face? I've touched every part of that and I can't say any of it was recognizable anymore.
A
You mustn't go around like that Miss Miach.
[Reaching up to brush a grain of rice off Miach's cheek, she smiles.]
It's so uncivilized..
no subject
You should know by now that such words don't sway me.
[ But wow, that is a drastic color on you there, Dahlia. Miach gives her a very obvious glance up and down. ]
This dress fits you very well.
no subject
I find the color a little overpowering myself, but perhaps it'll just take some getting used to.
[And cue the subject change:] Why are you only eating white rice, Miss Miach?
no subject
[ During her first weeks here, she's been eating a lot of flavorful things that would not have existed in her world and enjoying it for being so comparatively unhealthy... but it's been a while now and she's starting to get tired of snackfood, so having just real rice to stuff herself with is honestly a blessing. ]
Having a party continues to be a strange idea, but it's nice for the buffet.
no subject
[Out of the corner of her eye, she can see that Gible is attempting to climb the buffet table to get to the food, but as Gible is far too small to accomplish this feat, she merely ignores it for the time being.]
I'll leave you to your rice then, shall I?
no subject
I'm about finished anyway. Actually...
[ She takes a step forward towards Dahlia smiling and actually extending her hand (instead of just grabbing Dahlia's as she usually would). ]
If we're already here, how about a dance?
no subject
Do you know how to dance?
[Actually dance she means. Not that spinning and twirling that Miach tends to do a lot.]
no subject
I haven't really had a partner, but I've memorized waltz steps on my own.
[ In her short organized dance phase when she was younger, Miach had tried a variety of steps, but the rest of them stuck with her only shakily so she'd rather not try and go for that now. ]
The music seems merciful for the moment being, so we should take advantage of that.
[ Before it changes back to whatever godawful stuff M has in her playlists. ]
no subject
[It's not exactly a complaint as Dahlia doesn't attempt to make Miach let go of her hand, but more a passing comment.]
If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're cold blooded.
[She leads them towards the dance floor though, raising no objections to Miach's suggestion.]
no subject
Who is to say that there isn't a world in which humanoid reptiles exist? That was a popular myth in the 21st century.
[ A brush of her thumb goes over Dahlia's hand here. ]
But you're right, of course, my blood is as warm or cold as yours, it's just a matter of how much of that gets to the surface.
no subject
You'd think a nuclear apocalypse would take dumb conspiracy theories with it.
[But trust people to keep stupid things like that alive, huh. They reach a more secluded corner of the dance floor, and Dahlia rests her free hand around Miach's neck.[
Well, impress me.
no subject
Luckily, her confidence is rarely misplaced. She places her hand on Dahlia's waist and brings back the steps from her memory. The first few are awkward and then she's in the flow. It comes more easily to her when she's not listening to the music but instead focusing only on the rhythm in her own head.
Looking Dahlia in the eyes, she smiles. It appears that she is genuinely enjoying herself. ]
The first formal mention of 'waltz' as a term was made by Friedrich Schiller, did you know?
no subject
No, I didn't. [It's not a completely dismissive tone, but it's not exactly impressed either.] Why was it called a waltz?
no subject
[ She chuckles a little. ]
This was back in the day when the idea of an ankle showing under a woman's moving dress was scandalous. With your long gown, you might be safe from even the indecency of that time though.
no subject
I suspect I'm still showing too much arm and collar bone for their tastes, Miss Miach. Coupled with my red hair, I'm sure they'd have me burning at the stake.
[A beat.] I'm sure they'd have done similar things for your pale hair as well.
no subject
This was a bit after the high time of witch hunts, but fair enough.
[ She'll take mercy here though and stop infodumping in favour of a curiosity question as they move along to the music. ]
Do you dance often?
