With the beloved "leader" of the meetings dead, things seem a lot more grim than usual. But that doesn't show in the trial's background music, a rather cheery song that doesn't match the trial at all whatsoever. Which isn't exactly new, considering who's running the trial, but it is definitely a dishonor to the one that's died. Nevertheless, the show must go on.

"This is the trial for Eruna Ichinomiya, also known as Lady Zapper, pon," Fav notes, the same as always. Of course, there's a little difference in the trial area today. You can hear the slight sounds of static and even see the place glitch a bit every now and again. But what's more important than that is the fact that there seems to be a tree right behind the fountain now. A really, really huge tree. That wasn't there before. Someone must have redecorated.

Not that it changes much.

I suppose lying isn't my strong suit anymore. I used to be pretty good at it, but even here I ended up choosing to hide.

[He chuckles... Is it relief? He doesn't know.]

I have to admit, I'm surprised that you left any trace of blood on those shoes of yours, Joshua... especially after the exit Miss Tamamo had. You seemed so much more careful than that...

[A pause.]

Perhaps I did. After all, I promised never to kill again, yet here I am. In the end, it wasn't about me. It was about making sure that motive didn't come to fruition.

[He sighs.]

I guess we should just make it final. I killed Eruna Ichinomiya.

Like Fav said, I had a different win scenario. I was also given an armory which is where the dagger came from.

It wasn't. Back home I would have planned on it, but... things happened and I ended up here. I'm still unsure about a lot of things. Honestly, the only thing I'm sure about right now is the fact that Estelle is here and that she is the most precious thing to me. I can't lose that.

[He knows that sounds pretty hollow because of how Fav and M seem to do these things, but still.]

I know where she was, at least in the hostage situation, but outside of that, I'm not sure. Even so, I was told not to risk making Fav mad. Though it seems I did that anyway just by being in this role. Though given the situation we're in, do you think I would have trusted any of you?

Trust doesn't enter into it. Everybody had a hostage that week, we would've put aside your bullshit to help.

[He won't add that they wouldn't have lost more people if that had been the case.]

Even this week...there's mostly decent people here, sure somebody probably would've punched you in the face for being a piece of shit, but I think most of them would've helped you, regardless of what that stupid blob wants. I know I would've.
